  • Norah Jones at 713 Music Hall | Tuesday – Known for her stunning vocals, the “Come Away With Me” and “Don’t Know Why” singer-songwriter performs live at 713 Music Hall inside Post Houston in Downtown. $42. 7:30pm.
  • Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra at Toyota Center | Wednesday – Led by original frontman and founder, the English rock band ELO, known for “Mr. Blue Sky”—recently popularized in the opening to Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2—”Don’t Bring Me Down” and “Last Train to London” land in the Rockets home stadium. $69 and up. 8pm.
  • Suki Waterhouse at House of Blues | Thursday – Following her albums I Can’t Let Go and Memoir of a Sparklemuffin, the English indie pop artist, singer-songwriter, actress and model takes the Houston stage, with Bully opening the show. $41.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Chase Atlantic at Bayou Music Center | Thursday – The Australian-born, L.A.-based act brings their dark, alternative pop punctuated with rock and R&B to Downtown. $67 and up. 8pm.
  • The Woodlands 50th Anniversary Free Concert: Lyle Lovett, Hayes Carll & Jack Ingram at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday | FREE – Join in a celebration of The Woodlands’ 50 years headlined by country and American artists Lovett and His Large Band, Carll, and The Woodlands’ native son Ingram. 7:15pm.
  • Musiqa: Sound & Light at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday | FREE – The ensemble makes its Miller debut with this marriage of live contemporary chamber music and visual art that’s unlike anything else on Houston stages. During the performance, the conductor and pianist will be wearing mobile brain-body imaging caps, monitored through a brain-computer interface (BCI), by a team of neuro-engineers from the University of Houston’s BRAIN Center, and images of what’s happening neurologically will be shown on screens. 7:30pm.
  • Maxwell at the Toyota Center | Friday – Known for giving birth to the neo-soul movement, Maxwell has won 3 Grammys, 6 Soul Train Music Awards and 2 NAACP Image Awards. Jazmine Sullivan and October London also perform. $69.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • French Police at White Oak Music Hall | Friday – The Chicago band, known for blending dreamwave with Russian postpunk comes to the Heights area venue for a live show. Their latest album, Bully, was released earlier this year. $100 and up. 8pm.
  • Larry Gatlin at Main Street Crossing | Friday – The country music legend and Texas native, who skyrocketed to fame with The Gatlin Brothers in the ‘70s performs at the intimate live music destination in Tomball. $56 and up. 8pm.
  • ROCO Unchambered: Alecia Lawyer & Audrey Andrist at Horizon on Sunset Art Gallery – Be swept away in picturesque works such as Houston native Jefferson Todd Frazier‘s Music for the Birds, inspired by species of the Gulf Coast, and duos by Alyssa Morris and Jessica Meye. Pay-What-You-Wish; $25 suggested. 5pm.
  • Pedal Steel Noah at the 1859 St. Joseph’s Church | Saturday – Catch a live show from 16-year-old Austin musician Noah Faulkner, who won hearts on Instagram covering ‘80s and ‘90s hits on pedal steel guitar. $30 and up. 6pm.
  • Mason Jennings at White Oak Music Hall | Saturday – The folk-pop singer-songwriter, known for his hits “Race You to the Light”, “Ulysses”, and “Cursive Prayers” hits Houston on his most recent tour. $20. 7pm.
  • Sixpence None the Richer at Warehouse Live Midtown | Saturday – The Travis Street venue welcomes the alt-rock music group that burst into the mainstream with their single, “Kiss Me” in 1998. Formed in New Braunfels and Nashville-based, the group announced a new EP, Rosemary Hill, which will be released this month. $18.50 and up. 8pm.
  • Korn at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Sunday – The nu metal band from Bakersfield—”Bakersfield, James. Bakersfield!”—and known for “Freak on a Leash”, “Coming Undone”, and “Blind” takes to the Woodlands stage. Gojira and Spiritbox open the show. $35 and up. 6:30pm.
  • U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Sunday | FREE – The 60-member Concert Band and 29-member Soldiers’ Chorus join for a special combined concert, featuring a huge variety of musical styles, from orchestral masterworks and operatic arias to Sousa marches, jazz classics, and Broadway show tunes. 7:30pm.
  • Chayanne at Toyota Center | Sunday – The Puerto Rican Latin pop singer, known for hits like “Yo Te Amo,” “Tiempo de Vals” and lands in Downtown Houston. Chayanne has released 21 albums, selling more than 15 million worldwide. $86 and up. 8pm.
