Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2024
- Independence Day Bike Parade & Pool Party in West U | FREE – Start your Independence Day with a family bike parade that sends decorated bicycles, trikes and wagons along University Blvd., ending at Colonial Park with games, an open pool and other fun festivities. 8:45am to noon.
- Kidpendence Day at Children’s Museum Houston – Open for the Fourth, Children’s Museum Houston hosts an afternoon program featuring Captain America in an interactive story time, a science demo, and a colorful confetti blast throughout the day. $19.95 for ages 1 and up. 9:30am to 4pm.
- Freedom Over Texas at Eleanor Tinsley Park – The annual Freedom Over Texas will feature local, regional, and national entertainment, capped off with a musically choreographed, “Texas-sized” fireworks finale at Eleanor Tinsley Park. The concert stage will host a headlining set from country star Russell Dickerson, plus award-winning artists Jo Dee Messina, Chapel Hart, blues guitarist Mathias Lattin, and more. Fireworks start around 9:30pm. Tickets are $10; free ages 5 and under. 4pm to 10pm.
- 4th of July Celebration on Skylawn at Post Houston – Head atop the Downtown hub for incredible rooftop views of the Downtown Houston fireworks. Before the show, enjoy cirque performers, complimentary balloon artists and face painting, live music and more. $20. 5pm to 10pm.
- Fourth of July Celebration: Boots, Bands & BBQ with Oliver Penn at Dan Electro’s – The Heights guitar bar celebrates the holiday with live performances from country singer-songwriter Oliver Penn, plus openers The Twenty Twos and Taylor Marberry. Hilliard American Vintage will also be on-site for pop-up shopping. $10. 7pm.
- Bubbles & Fireworks Boat Tour at Allen’s Landing – Hop aboard BBP’s pontoon boat for a perfect view of Downtown’s spectacular fireworks show while floating along Buffalo Bayou and enjoying bubbly, beer, wine, and light bites. $125. 8pm to 10pm.
- Houston Symphony’s Star Spangled Salute at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – The Symphony’s Independence Day tradition returns to the Miller stage, featuring a rousing program of patriotic songs to celebrate the country’s birthday. Fireworks will cap it all off, beginning around 10pm. 8:30pm to 10pm.
- Freedom Over Texas: 4th of July Fireworks Over Downtown Houston | FREE – The annual celebration at Eleanor Tinsley Park may be an all-day ticketed festival, but the fireworks finale can be viewed from many areas across Houston. The best views will be those with a clear line of sight to the skies above the park and Buffalo Bayou, immediately west of Downtown. 9:30pm.

- Stars & Stripes Celebration at Heritage Place | Conroe | Saturday, June 29 | FREE – Celebrate the 4th of July a little early with a night of family-friendly fun, a live performance by the Conroe Symphony Orchestra, a market and fireworks in Conroe. 6pm to 9:30pm.
- Houston Symphony’s Star Spangled Salute at Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavilion | Woodlands | Wednesday, July 3 | FREE – Delight in patriotic music as the Houston Symphony presents its annual Star Spangled Salute in the Woodlands. 8pm.
Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2024
- South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade at Market Square | Woodlands | FREE – This 1.3-mile parade at Market Square in the Woodlands features local dignitaries, marching bands, street performers, horses, floats and more. 9am.
- Fourth of July at The Boardwalk at Towne Lake | Cypress | FREE – The Cypress lakefront destination hosts an afternoon celebration with live music, face painting, and other family fun. No fireworks will be on display. 2pm to 5pm.
- July 4th Family Games Festival at Town Center Park | Kingwood | FREE – Head over to Town Center Park in Kingwood for some family-friendly entertainment, games, axe throwing and more, plus fireworks to end the evening. 3pm to 9:30pm.
- July 4th Celebration & Street Fest | Tomball | FREE – Honor America’s independence with live music, food, games, and more activities followed by a fireworks spectacular at dusk in Tomball. 4pm to 9:30pm.
- Valley Ranch 4th Fest | Spring | FREE – Near the Grand Parkway in Montgomery County, this evening bash features a car show, local vendor market, a kids zone, live concerts, and an evening fireworks celebration. 5pm to 10pm.
- 4th of July Celebration at Pine Market at Woodforest | Conroe | FREE – The community near Conroe celebrates the day with live music from Walker County Line Band, plus pony rides, a rock wall and other family-friendly festivities. 6pm to 8pm.
- July 4th Festival at Jersey Meadow Park | Jersey Village | FREE – Enjoy a fest in Northwest Houston with food, games, live music from an Eagles tribute band, and a firework show at the end of the night. 6pm to 9:30pm.
- 27th Annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival at Multiple Locations | Woodlands | FREE – The Woodlands celebrates freedom with a variety of family-friendly activities at multiple locations throughout the township. All sites will feature live music beginning at 6pm with bands playing until the Fireworks Extravaganza at around 9:30pm. 6pm to 10pm.

Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in Sugar Land, Bellaire & Southwest Houston
Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2024
- Celebration of Independence Parade & Festival at Loftin Park | Bellaire | FREE – The Bellaire Celebration of Independence kicks off with the children’s decorated bike parade, followed by a live band, games, food and more at Loftin Park near South Rice Blvd. 9am to noon.
- July 4th at The George Ranch | Fort Bend – Step back in time in Fort Bend for a picnic at the 1930s ranch house, where families can also take part in games, crafts, sack races, hand-turned ice cream and more. $16 for ages 13 and up; $11 for ages 4 to 12; free for ages 3 and under. 9am to 2pm.
- Red, White & Boom at Crown Festival Park | Sugar Land | FREE – Take the family out to Crown Festival Park for live musical entertainment, community booths, activities, photo opportunities, and of course, a dazzling firework display to conclude the celebration. 5pm to 9pm.
- Independence Day Festival at Houston Community College—Southwest College | Missouri City | FREE – The whole family is invited out to join in the Fourth fun with carnival games, live music and treats from local vendors, plus an evening fireworks display. 5pm to 10pm.
- Sugar Land Space Cowboys vs. Round Rock Express at Constellation Field | Sugar Land – The first of this three-game series in Sugar Land features a special patriotic jersey giveaway for the first 2,000 fans, followed by postgame fireworks. $11 and up. 6pm.
- Family 4th Celebration at Seabourne Creek Nature Park | Rosenberg | FREE – This 25th anniversary celebration in Rosenberg welcomes country artists Casey Donahew for a patriotic performance before fireworks end the night. 6pm to 10pm.
Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in Katy & West Houston
Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2024
- Katy Freedom Celebration at Typhoon Texas Waterpark | Katy – Enjoy a day of 4th of July fun, barbecue and live entertainment at Typhoon Texas in Katy, then stick around for the Freedom Celebration fireworks show at 9pm. Guests are also welcome to view the fireworks from Katy Mills Mall for free. $44.99 and up. 11am to 10pm.
- Fourth of July Concert at CityCentre | Memorial City | FREE – The West Houston shopping district hosts an evening of live tunes from People’s Choice Band, plus snowcones and snacks for purchase. No fireworks will be on display. 7pm to 10pm.

Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in Pasadena, La Porte & Baytown
- 4th of July Celebration at Bicentennial Park | Baytown | Wednesday, July 3 & Independence Day, July 4 | FREE – The City of Baytown hosts its two-day 4th of July event with a car show, a firework extravaganza and live music by Bellamy Brothers, Niko Moon, Brett Young, and more. A fireworks spectacular caps off the festivities on Thursday night at 9:30pm. Wednesday 5:30pm to 10pm; Thursday 4pm to 10pm.

- Fourth of July Fireworks at Sylvan Beach | La Porte | FREE – The city of La Porte hosts an all-day festival that kicks off at 10am with a parade down Broadway, followed by Five Points Fest with a free hot dog lunch and live music. Sylvan Beach’s pier will then host the annual fireworks spectacular starting around 9:15pm.
- Pasadena 4th Fest at Pasadena Municipal Fairgrounds | Pasadena | FREE – Let freedom ring and enjoy food trucks, a kids’ zone, vendors, fireworks, and live music from Tejano group La Fiebre at the Pasadena Municipal Fairgrounds. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm. 4pm to 10pm.
Fourth of July Fireworks & Events in Galveston, Kemah & Southeast Houston
- Freedom Rocks Fest at Lagoonfest Texas | Texas City | Wednesday, July 3 & Independence Day, July 4 – The third annual fest promises a packed slate of tribute bands honoring some of the greatest rock legends of all time. Hit the aquamarine waters of the Texas City lagoon, relax with food and drink, and take in a Thursday night drone show, starting at 9pm. $38; $20 for ages 3 to 13. 10am to sunset.
Independence Day, Thursday, July 4, 2024
- Fourth of July Kids Parade at Rex L Meador Park | Seabrook | FREE – The city of Seabrook hosts a patriotic parade from the Miramar Shopping Center to Rex L. Meador Park. Once there, join in the morning festivities with a bounce house, hayrides and more. 9:30am to noon.
- Citizen Appreciation Day at Hometown Heroes Park | League City | FREE – In League City, this early afternoon celebration shows appreciation with free hot dogs, live entertainment, face painting and more. The swimming pool at Hometown Heroes Park will also be open to the public. 10am to 2pm.
- Fourth of July Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk | Kemah | FREE – Spend the day at Kemah Boardwalk for a July 4th celebration complete with live music and a patriotic firework show over Galveston Bay. 1:30pm to 10pm.
- Fireworks Over the Bay at Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House | San Leon – Pier 6 goes big for its annual Independence Day bayside bash. This year, the San Leon Fire Department will have a fire engine on site for kiddos to check out from 2pm to 4pm; and guests can enjoy live music, a face painter, balloon artist, popcorn machine, and sno-cones from 4pm to 9pm, with fireworks on the pier to end the night. Pair the festivities with fresh Gulf seafood, tropical cocktails, draft beer and wine. Reservations recommended; those only viewing the fireworks can purchase $5 wristbands. 2pm to 9pm.
- Galveston Fourth of July Parade on Seawall Boulevard | Galveston | FREE – Galveston Island hosts its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles, and performers. The parade will kick off at 6pm with a procession on Seawall Boulevard starting at 22nd Street and ending at 46th Street. 6pm.
- Celebration of Freedom at Independence Park | Pearland | FREE – Honor the country’s birthday at Independence Park in Pearland with live music from Danny Ray and the Atlantic Street Band, family-friendly games and activities, free giveaways and a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9pm. 6pm to 10pm.
- 4th of July Community Concert at Moody Mansion | Galveston | FREE – The Galveston Community Band takes to the historic Moody Mansion grounds for its annual 4th of July concert. 7pm to 9pm.
- 129th Annual 4th of July Celebration at Centennial Park | Friendswood | FREE – Opening with the Grand Parade at 10am, Friendswood hosts its 129th Independence Day celebration. Stevenson Park will be the site of rides, games, food and live entertainment starting at 11am, then you can catch live music by The Spazmatics at Centennial Park at 7pm, followed by a fireworks show at 9:10pm.
- 4th of July Fireworks Over the Gulf in Galveston | Galveston | FREE – Stake out your spot on the Seawall for a stunning display of fireworks over the Gulf of Mexico. The show will get started near 37th Street and Seawall, lasting about 20 minutes. 9:15pm to 9:45pm.
