Shop local at the Magnolia Farmers & Artisans Market

Established in 2009, Sweet Magnolia Pickins is a farmers and artisans market that is open on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month from 11am to 3pm (follow the schedule on Facebook). Head here to support local producers and shop for farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, free-range yard eggs, grass-fed meats, scratch-made bread and pasta, locally-roasted coffees, fresh goat cheese, Texas olive oils, and unique artisan crafts like handmade jewelry and soaps.

Live the suite life at Haras Hacienda

With a sleek, contemporary Spanish look set in a beautiful natural landscape, this boutique hotel provides a state of the art luxury experience. Sip Texas ales at Lone Pint Brewery

One of the Lone Star state’s most iconic beers is Lone Pint’s Yellow Rose, a single malt and single hop IPA that you can sip it right from the source at this Magnolia brewery. Lone Pint uses raw whole cones to craft distinctive local Texas ales that are tasty, hoppy, and quaffable. But the coolest part is the brewer’s dedication to renewable energy, as the spent grain gets fed to a local dairy farmer’s cows and the spent hops live on in the beer. Open daily; Sunday to Thursday noon to 7pm, Friday and Saturday noon to 10pm.

Spend some time with a horse at Pinebrook Farms

This local gem has been raising, training, and showing horses since the early ’60s, and it now offers horseback riding lessons, horsemanship, and other activities via camps and adult courses.
