- Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at NRG Park | Daily – The Rodeo’s big return continues, with full houses showing up for bucking broncos, calf scrambles, mutton bustin’, and—oh, yeah—the crowd-pleasing headliners. This week’s star performers are Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Journey, Bun B’s Houston Takeover on Black Heritage Day, Conroe native Parker McCollum, and Dierks Bentley. Dates, prices and times vary, and all Rodeo tickets include access to the fairgrounds, but you may find cheaper, better, or hard-to-get seats on the online resale market.
- Special Rodeo Package at Blossom Hotel Houston | Daily – Houston’s newest luxury hotel, conveniently located in the Medical Center, is offering up a special option for folks who Rodeo in style. Book your stay and secure free parking, two welcome cocktails, and access to all of the brand new hotel’s amenities for $249 though the entire run of the Rodeo.
- Venardos Circus at Dry Creek Social Club| Wednesday, March 9 through Sunday, March 13 | Final Shows – Step right up to marvel at the Broadway-inspired circus with amazing all-human acts under the intimate red and white striped tent. $25; $15 for ages 12 and under. Showtimes vary.
- Comedian Big Jay Oakerson at Houston Improv | Thursday, March 10 to Saturday, March 12 – With appearances on Comedy Central, Inside Amy Schumer, and BET’s ComicView, the Philly-native comedian comes to the Improv for five shows of his latest material. Tickets are sold by the table; $44 for 2 and up. Times vary.
- The Riot Comedy Show: Sugar Sammy at Rudyard’s British Pub | Friday, March 11 & Saturday, March 12 – The globally touring comedian is joined by Riot Show comedians on the stage at the Montrose British pub for a highly anticipated gut-busting set. $20 and up. 7:30pm and 10pm both nights.

- The 2022 Truffle Masters at C. Baldwin Hotel – Savor tastings of super-luxe black truffle dishes created by the H-Town’s top chefs at a chef competition and fundraiser benefiting Texas Food & Wine Alliance. $295. 6pm.

- Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers at Toyota Center | Wednesday, March 9 – For the final time this season, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and the Lakers appear at Toyota Center for a late season matchup. $25 and up. 7pm.
- Dodie with Lizzy McAlpine in Concert at House of Blues | Wednesday, March 9 – Emerging from the world of YouTube, the English singer-songwriter now features several Top 40 releases, including her critically acclaimed debut album, Build a Problem, which brings her to Downtown’s House of Blues. $27.50. 8pm.

- Grand Opening Celebration at Maize – The brand new traditional Mexican restaurant in the Energy Corridor throws open its doors with a late morning ribbon-cutting, followed by a five course wine dinner starting at 6:30pm. Restaurant hours 11:30am to 10pm.
- Eric Nam at Warehouse Live – The American K-Pop artist most recently dropped his sophomore studio album, There and Back Again, which brings him to the EaDo stage while on a world tour. $45. 8pm.
- Fletcher at House of Blues – The pop vocalist, who broke through a few years back with her single “Undrunk,” swings through Downtown Houston while on her North American tour. $20. 8pm.

- Bob Dylan at Smart Financial Centre – The mythical songwriter (and Nobel Prize winner) stops by Sugar Land to perform songs from his 39th studio album, the introspective Rough and Rowdy Ways. $39.50 and up. 8pm.
- RodeoHouston: Bun B’s H-Town Takeover Concert at NRG Stadium | Black Heritage Day – Houston’s legendary rap scene takes center stage at the Rodeo as Bun B joins with Slim Thug, Z-Ro, Lil Keke, Lil’ Flip and Paul Wall on Black Heritage Day. $20 and up, but you may find better, cheaper or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8:45pm.
- Classic Numbers at Numbers Nightclub – Immerse yourself in the hits of the 1980s at longests running Friday night dance party in Houston. Cover at the door. 9pm to 2am.

- BLCK Market at East River | No Cover – Houston-based real estate investment and development firm Midway has teamed up with BLCK Market to host free monthly pop-up events on the site of its future East River development. - 7th Annual Houston Whiskey & Fine Spirits Festival at the Ballroom at Bayou Place – Savor and learn about the nuances of finely distilled whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and other fine spirits. - RodeoHouston: Dierks Bentley at NRG Stadium – With seventeen No. 1 singles to his name, one of the biggest country musicians touring today, Dierks Bentley, closes the second weekend of the Rodeo. $20 and up, but you may find better, cheaper or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 5:45pm.
- Alt-J & Portugal the Man on the Lawn at White Oak Music Hall – Early February saw the release of Alt-J’s first album in five years, titled The Dream, which sends them on tour with fellow alt rockers, Portugal the Man. $66.50. 6pm.
- The 8th Wonder Comedy Hour at The Secret Group – Shake off the Sundays with a hilarious powerhouse of comics, headlined this week by rising star, TikTok celeb, and Houston’s newest funny man, Jeff Joe. $8 includes entry, an 8th Wonder beer, and a souvenir pint glass to take home. 6pm to 8pm; comedy starts at 6:30pm.
- Comedian Kristina Kuzmic at Houston Improv – The highly followed social media figure and comedian is known for her takes on parenting, domesticity, and self-help, bringing her hilarious insights to the West Houston stage for a single performance. - JoJo at House of Blues – The pop and R&B singer graces the stage at House of Blues to perform some of her latest work from the recent EP release, Trying Not to Think About It. $25. 8pm.
