- El Grito, featuring Cambalache at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Wednesday, September 15 | FREE | Virtual Option – The annual Grito ceremony returns to the Hermann Park stage with Cambalache, a Chicano-Jarocho group from East Los Angeles that reflects the heritage and culture of Mexico through participatory performances of music and dance. You can also catch a livestream of this performance on Miller’s website, YouTube, and Facebook. 7:30pm.
- The Goonies Movie Screening at Midtown Park | Thursday, September 16 | FREE – Join up with a group of misfits on an adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure when Midtown Park hosts an outdoor screening of the 1985 comedy, The Goonies. 7pm.
- Sugar Land Skeeters vs. Albuquerque Isotopes at Constellation Field | Thursday, September 16 to Sunday, September 19 – Catch one of the final home series of the Minor League season when the Skeeters host the Isotopes. Pick your night to enjoy some family fun, including discounts on hot dogs and beer on Thursday, post-game fireworks on Friday, or a special piggybank giveaway on Saturday. Tickets start at $8. Times vary.
- Free Train Rides at Zube Park in Hockley | Saturday, September 18 | FREE – Hop aboard for a free ride at this large scale model railroad that features three passenger trains hauling the young and young-at-heart along tracks through Hockley’s public park. Operated by Houston Area Live Steamers, this event takes place monthly and on select Sundays. This event is wheelchair accessible. 9am to 1pm.
- Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival at Blessington Farms | Opens Saturday, September 18 – Bring on all-things-pumpkin and kick off the fall season at Blessington Farms, west of Fulshear. Take to the grounds for fun activities like hayrides, giant slides, barrel train rides, pedal cars, hands-on animal encounters, gem mining, flower picking, and much more. Tickets are $20, and some activities require an additional cost. Saturdays and Sundays in September and October 9am to 4pm.
- The Woodlands Family Fun Fest at Town Green Park | Saturday, September 18 | FREE – Hang out with the fam at this family-friendly event in the Woodlands that features live entertainment, exotic reptiles, food trucks, shopping, and more. 10am to 4pm.
- Pirate & Mermaid Day at the Woodlands Children’s Museum | Saturday, September 18 – Hop aboard the “Jolly Roger” at the Woodlands Children’s Museum for a day of pirate and mermaid–themed play. Navigate through the museum on your best peg-legs and fancy tails while on a quest to find the hidden treasure. Ariel will be around for a meet-and-greet and Pirate Ben will dazzle with his juggling act. Included with general admission; $7, free for ages under 1. 10am to 2pm.
- Missouri City Oktoberfest at Quail Valley City Centre | Saturday, September 18 | FREE – Wilkommen to Oktoberfest in Missouri City, where the City Centre has been transformed into a beer hall, complete with Oktoberfest pennants and traditional decor. Enjoy mugs of suds, authentic German music, games, food, and the can’t-miss Wiener Dog Race. 4pm to 7pm.
- Let’s DisDance with Rhythm India Dance Co. at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, September 18 | FREE – Enjoy Bollywood dance demos with the instructors of Rhythm India Dance Co. at Sugar Land Town Square. In between the demos, Rhythm India dancers will take to the stage for sensational performances. 6pm.
- Memorial City Farmers & Feel Good Market | Sunday, September 19 | No Cover – Browse and buy from dozens of local farmers and artisan vendors at a fun and festive outdoor pop-up market in Memorial City. Visitors can also enjoy live music and kid-friendly distractions and activities. 10am to 2pm.
- Mid-Autumn Festival 2021 at Asia Society Texas Center | Sunday, September 19 | FREE – Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with live Taiwanese music and dance performances, K-pop dances, Vietnamese storytelling and more at Asia Society Texas Center. Registration is required. 11am to 4pm.
