- Loro x Uchi Collaboration Dinner at Loro | Wednesday, November 30 & Thursday, December 1 – The popular Heights Asian and Texan–inspired smokehouse, Loro, is hosting a collaborative meal including not only their own smoked meats but also exquisite traditional Japanese dishes from Uchi, Uchiko and Uchibā. $74.95 per person. 11am to 10pm.
- Comedian Dan Soder at Houston Improv | Thursday, December 1 to Saturday, December 3 – The New York-based comedian, actor, radio personality, and writer is going to be in Spring Branch slinging four shows worth of jokes over three nights. Tickets are sold by the table; $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
- The Riot Comedy Club presents Daniel Weingarten at Rudyard’s British Pub | Friday, December 2 & Saturday, December 3 – The upstairs stage in Montrose hosts the LA-based comedian, who offers his unique insights on culture, family, relationships and everything in between, built on experiences as the song of Mexican, Argentinian and Jewish immigrants. $17 and up. - A.F.I. at White Oak Music Hall – The emo rock kingpins are wreaking havoc in the H touring their eleventh studio album, Bodies, and will have special guest Drab Majesty in tow. $29.50 and up. 8pm.
- Judas Priest with Queensryche at 713 Music Hall – The heavy metal wizards are back “defending the heavy metal faith,” and will be wrapping up their 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour with a live performance at 713, supported by their heavy metal progeny, Queensryche. $59 and up. 8pm.

- Drawing Salon at Rienzi – Take in the wonders of the Rienzi in the evening as artist Isela Aguirre assists any skill level in a drawing from life lesson, featuring models dressed in 18th-century attire. - Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: A Very Postmodern Christmas at House of Blues – Hep cats and cool kittens get ready because Scott Bradlee’s rotating music collective is going to be in town playing their own special version of all the Christmas classics in the style of big band swing and beyond. $32.50 and up. 7pm.
- Game of Thrones Trivia at McIntyre’s Heights | No Cover – Hitch up your dragon and make your way to Westeros by way of McIntyre’s for trivia, drink specials, and fajitas, all to benefit the Houston Food Bank. 7pm.

- Tamale Festival Houston at Navigation Esplanade – It’s tamale time as the 11th annual Tamale Festival returns to the East End for an excellent festival replete with entertainment for the entire family, including a Shakira tribute experience. $9.99 and up. 11am to 7pm.
