  • Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration | Daily – Immerse yourself in a whimsical wintertime ball honoring the iconic Triwizard tradition, complete with amazing performances, photo opps, themed food and drink to purchase, dancing, and more. Costumes and/or cocktail attire encouraged. Times vary.
  • World Cup Headquarters at Social Beer Garden HTX | Daily | No Cover – The Midtown beer garden hosts every game of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Games are shown in English and Spanish through 20 indoor TVs and a large outdoor screen. 9am to 3pm.
  • Loro x Uchi Collaboration Dinner at Loro | Wednesday, November 30 & Thursday, December 1 – The popular Heights Asian and Texan–inspired smokehouse, Loro, is hosting a collaborative meal including not only their own smoked meats but also exquisite traditional Japanese dishes from Uchi, Uchiko and Uchibā. $74.95 per person. 11am to 10pm.
  • Comedian Dan Soder at Houston Improv | Thursday, December 1 to Saturday, December 3 – The New York-based comedian, actor, radio personality, and writer is going to be in Spring Branch slinging four shows worth of jokes over three nights. Tickets are sold by the table; $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
  • The Riot Comedy Club presents Daniel Weingarten at Rudyard’s British Pub | Friday, December 2 & Saturday, December 3 – The upstairs stage in Montrose hosts the LA-based comedian, who offers his unique insights on culture, family, relationships and everything in between, built on experiences as the song of Mexican, Argentinian and Jewish immigrants. $17 and up. Times vary.
  • Òrêké By TAMRIS Holiday Pop-Up at Post Houston | Saturday, December 3 & Sunday, December 4 | No Cover – The Indigenous fashion brand, TAMRIS, presents their annual mega holiday market featuring more than 50 local brands at Post. 11am to 10pm.

  • Drawing Salon at Rienzi – Take in the wonders of the Rienzi in the evening as artist Isela Aguirre assists any skill level in a drawing from life lesson, featuring models dressed in 18th-century attire.   • Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox: A Very Postmodern Christmas at House of Blues – Hep cats and cool kittens get ready because Scott Bradlee’s rotating music collective is going to be in town playing their own special version of all the Christmas classics in the style of big band swing and beyond. $32.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Game of Thrones Trivia at McIntyre’s Heights | No Cover – Hitch up your dragon and make your way to Westeros by way of McIntyre’s for trivia, drink specials, and fajitas, all to benefit the Houston Food Bank. 7pm.
  • Blue Oyster Cult at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – The band that could be considered one of the founding fathers of prog rock is bringing all their hits—and especially more cowbell—to the Woodlands. $158 and up. 8pm.
  • Texas Eagles Tribute Band at Post Houston – The tribute band to one of America’s most iconic ’70s rock bands is going to be playing in the heart of Downtown, so take it easy and get to grooving. $20. 8pm to 10pm.

  • 3rd Annual Pawliday Market at Powder Keg | No Cover – In Memorial City, the popular drinkery brings a holiday bash for you and your furry friends. Shop more than 40 local vendors, throw on an ugly sweater for you and your (leashed) pup, take selfies with Santa, and more. 10am to 2pm.
  • 12th Annual Katy Old Fashioned Christmas in Historic Downtown Katy | FREE – The Katy Old Fashioned Christmas returns in a big way, bringing 200 vendors to the open-air market that also includes food trucks, an appearance by Santa, live entertainment, a beer garden, and more. 10am to 5pm.
  • Tamale Festival Houston at Navigation Esplanade – It’s tamale time as the 11th annual Tamale Festival returns to the East End for an excellent festival replete with entertainment for the entire family, including a Shakira tribute experience. $9.99 and up. 11am to 7pm.
  • Houston Margarita Festival at the Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park – It’s about to be a party at the beautiful Buffalo Bayou Park as the 10th annual Margarita Festival returns boasting not only a wide range of margarita flavors to try, but an opportunity to join your community in dancing and revelry with a live DJ on site, as well as food vendors and more. $15 and up in advance; $30 day of. Noon to 10pm.
  • Open Studio: Fashion Mobiles at CAMH | FREE – Flex your creativity bone at CAMH and learn to create a mobile that reflects your personality, style, and cultural identity, inspired by the Troy Montes Michie: Rock of Eye exhibition. 2pm to 4pm.
  • Holiday Brews on the Bend at Bayou Bend Collection & Gardens – Step into the beautiful grounds and gardens of Bayou Bend and enjoy beer tastings from select breweries while you listen to the live jazz sounds of the Black Luster Quartet, featuring Philippe Edison on saxophone. $35. 2pm to 6pm.
  • Only the Forest Knows… Opening Reception at Archway Gallery | FREE – Join the Montrose community for the opening reception of this collaborative exhibition featuring new works by local artists Andrea Wilkonson and Christie Coker; light bites, wine, and complimentary valet parking will be available as well as an opportunity to hear directly from the artists about their works. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Holly Jolly Holiday Beer Fest at Little Woodrow’s Heights | No Cover – Multiple breweries will gather at the Heights outpost of the popular bar to showcase their holiday brews with free tastings and giveaways. 5pm to 8pm.
  • FKOA presents Funk ‘n’ Soul at Smart Financial Centre – The first Saturday of December is going off with a bang as funk and soul heavyweights Cameo, SOS Band, Midnight Star, and more light up the stage in Sugar Land. $39.50 and up. 6pm.
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas Movie Screening at Moody Center for the Arts | FREE – Rice University’s Moody Center hosts a family-friendly, outdoor screening of Tim Burton’s holiday classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Channel 5 Live with Andrew Callaghan at the Heights Theater – There are two opportunities to check out Andrew Callaghan, the gonzo journalist who went viral on YouTube for his deadpan humor–infused, unfiltered reporting on complex social and political issues, as he brings the Channel 5 phenomenon to the Heights. $40 and up. 7pm and 9pm.
  • SanLuis in Concert at Arena Theatre – Latin pop stars and los hermanos Venezuelanos, SanLuis, are making a stop at Arena Theatre in Southwest Houston while on their Ilusionista tour. $25 and up. 8pm.
