Labor Day 2022 Festivities & Events
Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2022
- Houston Restaurant Weeks at Multiple Locations | Final Day –H-Town’s biggest food event of the year comes to a close as 200+ local restaurants offer up special fixed price meals for brunch, lunch and dinner (and even to-go), with a set dollar donation from each meal sold benefiting the Houston Food Bank. $25 for brunch and lunch; $39 to $55 for dinners. Times vary by location.
- Labor Day Brunch at Dish Society – All Dish Society locations (from Katy to the Heights) will recognize Labor Day by hosting a special Monday brunch on the patio or inside to escape the heat over frozen mimosas, shrimp and smoked gouda grits, brisket & eggs, double stack pancakes, avocado toasts, and other brunch favorites. Menu prices vary. 8am to 3:30pm.
- Free Admission for Military & their Families at the Health Museum – In conjunction with the Blue Star Museums program, Health Museum hosts a day of free admission for military members and their families. Military ID required. 10am to 5pm.
- Plane Amazing Labor Day at Lone Star Flight Museum – The all-things-flight museum hosts a day of plane tours, flight simulators, entertainment and free hot dogs, chips and a drink. $10 admission for everyone at the door. 10am to 5pm.
- Labor Day Brunch & Dinner Service at B&B Butcher’s & Restaurant – The Washington Ave butcher and restaurant hosts a Labor Day brunch and dinner service, switching over at 3pm. Menu prices vary. 11am to 10pm.
- Labor Day Brunch & Dinner Service at Trattoria Sofia – Grub on rustic Italian food when the Heights eatery serves up brunch until 3pm, followed by dinner service. Menu prices vary; reservations recommended. 11am to 10pm.
- Labor Day Live Music Fest at Southern Star Brewery – The Conroe brewery holds a 2-day bash for Labor Day that features live performances from rock tribute bands on Monday. $10 and up. 11am to 11pm.
- Labor Day Weekend: Tequila Garden & Summer Splash Finale at Sekai – The East Downtown club hosts an afternoon pool party with cocktails and DJs spinning Afrobeats, hip-hop and R&B. $20 and up; free before 2pm with RSVP. Noon to 10pm.
- Supa Soca: Labor Day Pool & Day Party at Clé Day & Night – Dive into the pool for a final time this summer when Clé host an afternoon of Caribbeans tunes at their day party. $15; free before 4pm with RSVP. 2pm to 9pm.
- Labor Day Patio Party at Fielding’s Local Kitchen & Bar – In the Woodlands, Fielding’s spreads out on the patio for food and drink on Labor Day, along with live music by Anthony Pitt and Justin Peña. Menu prices vary; reservations recommended. 3pm.
- Black Cowboy Tour at Houston This Is It Soul Food – Learn about the legacy of Black American cowboys through a bus tour that stops at notable locations around Houston. Tours depart from Houston This Is It Soul Food on Almeda. $50. 5pm to 6:30pm.
- Labor Day Live Music at CityCentre | FREE – The Memorial shopping district celebrates Labor Day with live music playing in the plaza, ranging from smooth jazz and pop to classic rock and country. 6pm to 9pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park – The Rangers come to town in one of the final homestands of the Astros’ regular season. All fans in attendance will receive a Kyle Tucker ALCS replica ring. $12 and up. 6:10pm.
- Trivia Night at Little Dipper | FREE – Off Main Street in Downtown, Little Dipper hosts a trivia night of general knowledge questions that feature Houston, whiskey and other subject. Limit 6 people per team. 7:30pm to 10pm.
