Throughout four days in early May, the Galveston Historic Homes Tour invites guests to enter ten of the Island’s most prominent, historically-rich residences—many of which are privately-owned homes and typically closed to the public. Explore the ten homes featured in this year’s tour.
In addition to these special tours, a slate of dining, social, and exclusive events provide an opportunity to deepen the experience of these remarkable dwellings.

Special Events
The 47th Annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour returns to in-person tours and events, allowing for guests to enjoy some of the homes on display with specialty drinks and appetizers (Broadway Beauties Tour on Friday, April 30, 2021), as well as award-winning chef–curated dinners that provide an intimate culinary experience within an architectural wonder (History on Tap Dinners on Friday, April 30, 2021 and Friday, May 7, 2021).
A special Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch on Sunday, May 9 will be hosted by the 1880 Garten Verein, providing a unique venue and memorable occasion to celebrate mothers.
And on Saturday, May 1, guests can enjoy craft beer during a Harborside Happy Hour in the shadow of the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa, accompanied by the visiting Tall Ship Nao Santa Maria, a square sail vessel that recalls the seafaring tradition of the 15th century.
Finally, Saturday, May 8 marks the return of the annual juried art show, Outdoor Painters Society’s Plein Air Southwest, which features the work of more than 40 artists who have attempted to record history across the island in the form of paintings created during the Galveston Historic Homes Tour.
