Discover globally striking creations at the 41st International Watermedia Exhibition

Explore a curated selection of watercolor paintings from local and international artists at the free 2018 International Watermedia Exhibition from Sunday, March 4, 2018 to Thursday, April 5, 2018.

Presented by Watercolor Art Society-Houston on the Menil campus, this annual, month-long event draws artists, collectors, and enthusiasts from all over the world with its impressive collection of watercolor paintings.

Featuring works from Turkey, England, Italy, and more, the exhibition is touted for the diversity of its paintings.

The free exhibit is open to the public daily, except on Mondays, through Thursday, April 5, 2018

Iain Stewart

During the exhibition, award-winning watercolor artist-illustrator Iain Stewart will serve as an honorary juror and will lead a watercolor workshop at WASH.

Stewart is a highly sought-after artist and instructor, a signature member of both the American and International Watercolor Societies and an architectural illustrator with international clientele.

Awards Presentation and Opening Reception

To kick off the exhibition, Watercolor Art Society will host an awards ceremony and reception on Sunday, March 4. At the ceremony, co-owner of Art Supply on Main and IWE sponsor Vikki Trammel will present one winner with the first-ever Art Supply on Main Award worth $500.

The exhibit will officially open Thursday, March 8 with the VIP Art Lover’s Reception from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
