Experience the free, family-friendly 2018 Lunar New Year Festival, filled with Asian food, music and more at the Chinese Community Center this Saturday, February 17, 2018.
Featuring musical and dance performances from local groups, vendors offering art, games, food, prizes, activities for children, and raffles for high dollar prizes, this free cultural event is the perfect chance to ring in the Year of the Dog in a time-honored way.
Performances
Stop by the stage this Saturday for performances from more than 20 various cultural groups and local organizations throughout the day, including the ever-popular lion and dragon dances.
Expect a full day of unique cultural performances from China, Vietnam, Korea, and India, cultural exhibits, workshops and more.

East West Bank Marketplace
An outdoor bazaar will be filled with rows of vendors offering Asian art, crafts, food. Guests will have the opportunity to try more than a dozen unique Asian foods like steamed tapioca cake, Vietnamese street-style ham, Chinese barbecue octopus skewer, and tea stewed eggs.
New to the festival, two popular Asian food trucks, Oh My Gogi! BBQ and Breaking Bao, will be making their first-time appearances at the Lunar New Year Festival this weekend.
Make sure to bring cash for food and the raffle drawing which will feature more than $10,000 worth of prizes, including a GIA certified .53 carat diamond necklace, Apple MacBook Air and Watch, Microsoft Surface Pro, a signed baseball from Houston Astros’ Marwin Gonzalez, a team signed Houston Dynamo jersey, an overnight stay at Crowne Plaza and more.
All proceeds will go towards enriching the lives of more than 20,000 people annually through CCC’s programs and services.

For the Kids
Kiddos will love participating in activities including face painting, calligraphy and lantern-making, interactive games, and checking out plenty of educational cultural displays.
