- Winter Holiday Art Market at Winter Street Studios | Friday to Sunday – Shop creations from more than 90 local artists all in one place at Fresh Arts’ annual Winter Holiday Art Market. WHAM will feature an open bar, artist demonstrations, cookie decorating, a photo booth and more. Tickets to the Preview Party are $15; Saturday and Sunday are free. Friday Preview Party 6pm to 10pm; Saturday 10am to 7pm; Sunday 11am to 4pm.
- Holidays in the Plaza at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday and Sunday | FREE – Get in the Holiday spirit and bring your friends and family to the Plaza for an evening of holiday entertainment and festivities. 6:30pm to 8:30pm both days.
- Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission | Saturday and Sunday – Stroll through the medieval fairgrounds while chomping on a turkey leg and drinking from a goblet at the Texas Renaissance Festival. The theme this weekend is “Highland Fling”. Tickets start at $11.95, not including ticket fees. 9am to 8pm.

Tickets range from free to $12, not including ticket fees. 4pm.
- Market Street Tree Lighting in The Woodlands | FREE – Head North to The Woodlands for the annual lighting of the 70-foot Christmas tree at Market Street. 6pm.
- Houston Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at Rothko Chapel – This annual service at The Rothko Chapel brings together leaders and members of nine faiths including Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, Baha’i Faith, Hinduism and Jainism to offer prayers of Thanksgiving and read sacred texts on thankfulness. You must register for this event. 7pm.
- Houston Rockets vs. Portland Trail Blazers at Toyota Center – The Rockets host the Trail Blazers for this Western Conference matchup at Toyota Center. Tickets start at $20, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s online resale market. 7pm.

- The Bronze Gold Speakeasy at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar – Head to the Prohibition Theater for this variety show featuring everything from a live band and comedian to an aerial artist and a juggler. $20, but you may find limited discounted $10 tickets. 7pm.
- Gatsby in the Gardens at Hermann Park – Join the young professionals of Urban Green for an evening under the stars in Hermann Park’s Centennial Gardens at this Great Gatsby-themed fundraiser. Tickets start at $30, not including ticket fees. 7pm to 10pm.
- The Five-Minute Mile at Obsidian Theater – Experience this unique show that features an assortment of storylines, genres, and characters all performed in five-minute increments. - Art Talk with Clint Willour at CAMH | FREE – Join Clint Willour, Curator Emeritus at the Galveston Arts Center, for a discussion on the work of artist Amy Blakemore. Light lunch will be provided in the Cullen Education Resource Room. Noon to 1pm.
- 2016 Twilight Gala: From the Roots Up at the Houstonian – The Twilight Gala, themed From the Roots Up in recognition of the Nature Discovery Center’s founding donors, will host a dazzling evening of libations, dinner, auctions, and live music at the Houstonian Hotel.
