UPDATE 1/23/16: This event has been cancelled by the City of Houston due to a reported electrical issue that couldn’t be fixed in time for the event. The organizers plan to reschedule it.

Curated with the Silos on Sawyer in mind by the Washington Avenue Arts District, SITE Houston is a contemporary installation inside the honeycombed footprint of twenty-eight of the lots renovated grain silos.

Bid farewell to this highly-lauded first exhibition at The Silos on Sawyer over ice cold Stella Artois who will have beer bars set up ($4 per beer, all going to support the Washington Arts District). The Burger Joint Food Truck will also be onsite with food available for purchase if the craving strikes you.

The exhibition features Houston-based artists responding to the unique challenge of non-traditional space, in addition to marking the grand opening of The Silos as Houston’s newest studio complex.

If you’re unable to make it out to the closing reception you’ll have a last chance to check out SITE at the 8th Annual Houston Press Artopia celebration of local culture and art on Saturday, January 30, 2016.
