Things to Do All Weekend
- The Original Greek Festival at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral | Daily – Featuring Greek music, food and folk dancing, and an Athenian playground for the kids, Houston’s longest running Greek Festival is fun for the whole family. Take advantage of free admission for everyone from 11am to 3pm on Friday. $5; free for children 12 and under. Times vary.
- Texas Contemporary Art Fair at George R. Brown Convention Center | Daily – Explore works of artists from around the world during this art fair in Downtown. Guests will find contemporary work in a variety of mediums and have the opportunity to take their favorites home. $25 one-day pass; $35 three-day pass; $50 four-day pass; $100 VIP four-day pass. Limited comped and $12.50 tickets are available. 6pm to 10pm; 11am to 7pm Friday and Saturday; Noon to 6pm Sunday.
- Bonnie & Clyde at Zilkha Hall | Daily – Spend the evening in the Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall for a thrilling performance of the Tony-nominated musical Bonnie & Clyde produced by TUTS Underground. Tickets range from $29 to $53 including ticket fees. 7:30pm Thursday; 8pm Friday; 3pm and 8:30pm Saturday; 3pm Sunday.
- Peter Pan 360 at The Threesixty Theatre | Daily – Experience Neverland in a whole new way as the cast of Peter Pan performs in the Threesixty Theatre – a partial tent, partial theatre structure with a circular stage and seating from every angle. Tickets start at $31.65 including ticket fees, but there are limited discounted tickets for better seats for select shows, or you may find cheaper or better seats on the TicketNetwork resale site. Times vary.
- Festival Chicano at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Thursday to Saturday | FREE – Celebrate Chicano culture and music during this event over three nights at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 7pm nightly.
- King’s Oktoberfest Kick-Off Weekend at King’s Biergarten | Friday to Sunday – Don your dirndls and lederhosen and raise your glass at the King’s Biergarten Oktoberfest Kick-Off Weekend. $10 one-day general admission; $90 one-day VIP admission; $55 one-day VIP admission for guests under 21. 5pm to midnight Friday; noon to midnight Saturday; noon to 9pm Sunday.
- Oktoberfest at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Friday and Saturday – Come dressed in your best festival attire to be crowned King or Queen of Oktoberfest during this celebration. Your ticket includes a commemorative mug, draft beer, a German feast and live music at the brewery. $45. 6pm to 9pm both days.
- Turning of the Bones at Theatre Suburbia | Friday and Saturday – This disarming and charming comedy explores race and human nature. $16; limited $8 tickets available. 8:30pm both nights.
- 12 Angry Men at Grace Theater | Friday through Sunday – The A.D. Players present one of the most famous legal dramas ever written, in which a dozen ordinary citizens decide the fate of a teenager alleged to have murdered his own father. $40; limited discounted $20 tickets available. Friday and Saturday 8pm; Sunday 2:30pm.
- ComedySportz Match at Queensbury Theatre at CityCentre | Friday and Saturday – Laugh out loud during this Whose Line is it Anyway-style improv competition show in the Energy Corridor. $20; limited $10 tickets available. 8pm.
- Pearland Art and Crafts on the Pavilion at Pearland Town Center | Saturday and Sunday – Browse the creations of more than 40 popular Houston artists while enjoying live music, culinary creations and a great fall day at this second annual art show that’s quickly becoming a Pearland destination event. There are unique live music and culinary offerings on both Saturday and Sunday. 10am to 5pm both days.
- Houston Exotic Reptile and Pet Show in Conroe | Saturday and Sunday – Check out thousands of exotic reptiles and amphibians and let your children hang out in the kids corner during this show in Conroe. $10 one-day pass; $5 one-day pass for children 3 to 10; $15 two-day pass; $8 two-day pass for children 3 to 10; free for children under 3. 10am to 5pm Saturday; 10am to 4pm Sunday.

- Mayoral Forum at McGovern Centennial Gardens | FREE – Attend the the Mayoral Forum at Hermann Park to discuss ideas for a greener Houston for residents and visitors. 6pm to 8pm.
- Iron Sommelier at The Houstonian – Calling all winos to this sommelier competition, wine pull, auction and tasting with food pairings at The Houstonian Hotel. This event benefits the Periwinkle Foundation. $150 in advance; $175 at the door. 6pm to 10pm.
- C.J. Chenier and The Red Hot Louisiana Band in Concert at Discovery Green | FREE – Hear live music from C.J. Chenier and The Red Hot Louisiana Band along with Ruben Moreno and Red Hot Zydeco Master during this free concert at Discovery Green. This event is part of the Sounds Like Houston! concert series on Thursdays in the park. 6:30 pm.
- Friends for Life Gala at The Astorian – Dance to music from live bands, nosh on a dinner prepared by Chef David Cordúa and enjoy an open bar while raising funds for local no kill animal shelter Friends for Life. $250; sponsor packages start at $1,000. 7pm.
- An Evening with Houston Ballet at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Spend your evening with the Houston Ballet during this performance in The Woodlands. Arrive at 7pm for pre-performance activities. $20 orchestra seating; free mezzanine and lawn seating. 8pm.

- Twenty One Pilots and Echosmith in Concert at Revention Music Center – See music duo Twenty One Pilots in concert with Indie pop group Echosmith during this sold out show at Revention Music Center. First run tickets are sold out, but a limited number of seats may be available on the TicketNetwork resale site. 8pm.
- Flicks at Five Points presents Avengers: Age of Ultron Movie Screening | FREE – See the action-packed Marvel blockbuster under the stars in La Porte by the Bay. Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 8pm.
- Cellist Maya Beiser in Concert at Jones Hall – Hear a concert from Israeli-born cellist Maya Beiser when she makes her Houston debut at Jones Hall. Tickets start at $28, but limited discounted tickets start at $14. 8pm.
