Dine and drink inside and out at the Batanga Tapas and Drinks on the corner of Congress and Travis in Downtown Houston.

Specializing in Latin American tapas, the restaurant features delectables from across Latin America, including dishes with origins in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Peru. Eagle eyes and talented tongues will also find a few treats from Spain and Portugal in the mix as well.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily and features a belt-busting Sunday brunch. With a massive outdoor patio to complement the cool decor of the interior, and a massive 30-foot bar, Batanga is also a natural for happy hour or drinks after the theater. The wine list features varietals from across Latin America, as well as the Spanish and Portuguese homelands. Specialty cocktails like the caipirinha, mojito and others complement the selection of 50 beers.

It’s situated right across the street from Market Square Park, under the historic Clock Tower, providing a perfect opportunity for weekday and weekend people-watching.
