Stop off at the new Dogwood Houston in Midtown for an after work drink, delicious bites or an evening cocktail.
The Dogwood comes to Houston, opening up on Bagby between Mulhenney and Bremond on Monday, April 1 (no fooling). Joining the ranks of Houston Midtown bars, the two-story patio bar features indoor and outdoor seating. You’ll definitely want to make use of the outdoor patios to soak up this amazing spring weather and the upscale but casual ambience. (We predict some excellent people watching will be in store as well.)
The showpiece of the full bar is a cold tap of Deep Eddy Vodka, which you can order on the rocks or in one of several delicious specialty drinks. Expect to find seven great beers on tap, including Fireman’s 4, St. Arnold’s Lawnmower, and a selection of Karbachs among others. A full selection of bottled beer and select wines round out Dogwood’s offerings for your imbibing pleasure.
The kitchen at Dogwood Houston features appetizers, burgers, salads and sandwiches, combing fresh ingredients with southern-inspiration to serve up delicious fare like South Carolina pulled pork; beef brisket and pork melt; cheeseburger, pulled pork or southern crab cake sliders; chicken and waffle sliders; fried green tomatoes; fried pickles; and proscuitto-wrapped asparagus. And if you’re protein-loading and watching your carbs, just order “I work out,” and enjoy two grilled or blackened chicken breasts topped with avocado slices and a side of that proscuitto-wrapped asparagus.
