In our Where to Happy Hour series, we search Houston’s vast array of neighborhoods for the very best libations.

In the Northwest corridor just inside the 610 loop lies the fast-growing neighborhood of Shady Acres.

The area was originally settled by German farmers in the late 1800s, and today you’ll find original bungalows and modest cottages alongside new development, parks and retailers, and a booming list of awesome happy hour spots.

Note: For the purposes of this list, Shady Acres is defined by this map.
