Shop from artisans, farmers, small businesses, and local vendors at a huge slate of indoor and outdoor pop-up markets taking place in and around Houston in October 2021.

Over the last several months, Houston has seen dozens of local vendors and farmers markets spring up across the city, offering everyone a chance to shop local and support small businesses in H-Town.

We’ve gathered 10 of the most enticing markets taking place across the city of Houston in October 2021.

Pop-Up Markets in Houston: October 2021

Many of these markets continue to adapt to evolving health and safety precautions, so be sure to check with the organizer before attending for their policy on things like face masks, social distancing, or whether it allows cash transactions.

  • Lyons Ave. Night Market at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Thursday, October 7 | No Cover – Shop from local farmers, gardeners, and entrepreneurs at Saint Arnold’s beer garden in Fifth Ward. Grab a cold beer from the bar while you peruse through the vendor market. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Oktoberfest Art Market at the King’s Head Pub | Saturday, October 9 | No Cover – In West Houston, this pet-friendly market brings together many local artists, farmers and makers to dole out goods in leather and metal, plus soaps, shoes, multi-media artwork, and more. Stick around for live music, delicious bites and tasty suds. 3pm to 9pm.
  • BLCK Market XPO: Fashion & Boutique at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum | Saturday, October 16 – The monthly market series (and new retail spot in Pearland) holds another edition of their quarterly XPO market, which features industry-focused vendors. This month, shop your latest looks from fashion and boutique booths. Limited free admissions are available in advance; $5 after that; free for ages 12 and under. 1pm to 5pm.
  • Hallowgreen Plant Market at Tenfold Coffee Company | Sunday, October 17 | No Cover – From new plant parent to expert importers, there’s something for everyone at this pop-up plant market at the Heights coffeeshop. Peruse plants and pots from local vendors and enjoy a freshly brewed drink. 9am to 2pm.
  • Fall Artisan Market at Megaton Brewery | Sunday, October 17 | No Cover – The Kingwood brewery is busting out their big fall market with 80 local vendors, plus live music, globally-inspired foods, tasty craft beer, and even axe throwing. This is also a pet-friendly market. 10am to 4pm.
  • Hollydays Market at Fort Bend County Fairgrounds | Friday, October 22 to Sunday, October 24 – Before you know it, the holiday season will be upon us and this market aims to get you prepared with three days of holiday and fall shopping from more than 100 merchants so you can find that unique, one-of-a-kind gift. Bring the kiddos around on Friday or Saturday and snap a photo with Santa Claus. Tickets are $6. Friday and Saturday 10am to 6pm; Sunday 11am to 4pm.
  • 37th Annual Texian Market Days Festival at George Ranch Historical Park | Saturday, October 23 – The Fort Bend historical ranch sets up for another year of pop-up shopping from local craft vendors, plus you can enjoy hands-on activities, battle re-enactments, live entertainment, games, vintage vehicles, food and more. Tickets are $20; $15 for ages 4 to 12. Swing through in full historic costume and receive half-off admission at the gate. 9am to 5pm.
  • Wonderland Market at Cinco Ranch High School | Saturday, October 30 | No Cover – Get your fall shopping out of the way ahead of November (or get an early jump on Christmas goods) with a diverse group of local vendors. 10am to 5pm.
  • Fall Festival at the Marq-E Entertainment Center | Saturday, October 30 | No Cover – Off the Katy Freeway, the Marq-E Center brings out its fall festival with a wide selection of local vendors, plus food, live music, a petting zoo and camel rides, trick-or-treating, face painting and more. Noon to 5pm.
  • Haunted Halloween Horror Market Pop-Up at Wildcatter Saloon in Katy | Saturday, October 30 – Dozens of local vendors will set up shop at this day-before-Halloween market, which also offers the opportunity to meet horror celebrities from The Exorcist, Friday the 13th, Cujo, and other silver screen scare films. Tickets are $5; free for ages 12 and under. Noon to 7pm.
