- Flags of Honor Veterans Day Ceremony at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center | Wednesday, November 9 | FREE – The Rotary Club of Greater Houston Veterans hosts a ceremony in the Medical Center, presenting the inaugural Field of Honor, consisting of 100 American flags in a moving display. Outside of the ceremony, the Field of Honor can be seen from Saturday, November 5 through Sunday, November 13. 9am.
- City of Houston’s Veterans Day Celebration at City Hall | Friday, November 11 | FREE – The City of Houston pays tribute to the people of the military at the annual Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Celebration. There will be a traditional Veterans Day ceremony with acknowledgments and a distinguished keynote speaker recognizing the local heroes, a moment of silence, and the American Heroes Parade. 10am.
- Free Burgers for Veterans at Willie’s Grill & Icehouse | Friday, November 11 – At Willie’s locations across Houston, any active military or veterans that show ID will receive a free burger of their choice, decked out in bacon, roasted pepper cheese, and other options. Dine-in guests only. Times and locations vary.
- Veterans Day Special at B.B. Lemon | Friday, November 11 – The Washington Ave. eatery offers a three-course meal during lunch that is complimentary for veterans and active military members. $25 per person, otherwise. 11am to 3pm.
- Veterans Day Special at B&B Butchers | Friday, November 11 – The butchershop on Washington Ave. offers a three-course meal in lunch service that is free for veterans and active military members; $25 per person, otherwise. 11am to 3pm.
- Veterans Eat Free at Feges BBQ | Friday, November 11 – At locations in Spring Branch and Greenway Plaza, Feges BBQ serves free meals to veterans and active military service members. 11am to 9pm.
- Veterans Day Tribute at Town Green Park | Friday, November 11 | FREE – The Woodlands hosts its annual Veterans Day Tribute with a presentation of colors, keynote speakers, musical performances and more. There will also be a drop-off booth on-site that will ship your care packages to troops all over. 4:30pm.
- Veterans Day Celebration at Central Green in Katy | Friday, November 11 – The Katy shopping district and park hosts a Veterans Day ceremony with an historic war bird flyover, and live performances by Diamond Rio and Katy’s own Hayden Baker. 5pm to 8pm.
- 2022 Legacy of Freedom Gala at the Westin Memorial City | Friday, November 11 – Supporting the Kodiak Cares Foundation, this annual gala event honors a Hall of Fame class of retired servicemembers and their families, and features honorary guest speakers and dinner. $200 and up. 6pm.
- Pearland Veterans Day Walk at Pearland Rec Center | Saturday, November 12 – The annual Veterans Day walk offers a casual-paced 4K or 1-mile course in the area around Pearland Rec Center, with proceeds from the event benefiting organizations that help veterans cope with PTSD and other mental health challenges. $20 in advance; $25 on-site. Free for ages 16 and under. 8am to 10am.
- Veterans Day Brunch at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum | Sunday, November 13 – Gather in the Museum District for a Sunday morning reception and brunch to honor those who have served and their families at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum. Stick around to shop vendors, enjoy live music and participate in free health screenings. $75; free for active duty and veterans. 11am to 2pm.
- Veterans Day Weekend Bash at Henry’s Home | Sunday, November 13 – In Conroe, this weekend bash celebrates Veterans Day with games, food from the grill, beer, raffles and more. $25 in advance; $30 at the door. Noon to 4pm.
- Veterans Day at Kemah Boardwalk | Sunday, November 13 – Veterans can take to the Boardwalk and, when they purchase an All Day Ride Pass at full price, will receive one free. $19.99 and up. Noon to 9pm.
