Converge on Uptown Houston after Thanksgiving dinner to launch the season with the lighting of Post Oak Boulevard complete with a holiday fireworks extravaganza on Thursday, November 27, 2014 from 4pm to 7pm.

Arrive at 4pm to enjoy holiday treats from food trucks and concession stats, enjoy Christmas and holiday music and take photos with walk-around costumed characters of Santa’s reindeer.

The Merry Holiday Stage Show features festive live performances from Houston groups including the Houston Concert Band, Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir, Houston Choral Showcase, Mixteco Ballet Folklorico and the A.D. Players.

At 7pm, well after the sun has set, Santa Claus will light the half-million twinkling lights on 80 Christmas trees and the rooftops along Post Oak Boulevard. The lighting is quickly followed by a holiday fireworks extravaganza above Uptown Park, featuring classic holiday music.
