Pearland Restaurant Weeks | Monday to Saturday – For the final week in November, Pearland restaurants feature curated menus and specialty offerings, with a portion of every order supporting the Pearland Neighborhood Center. Enjoy fixed-price menus at $20 for 2-course breakfasts and lunches, and $35 for 3-course dinners. Hours and locations vary.

Green Mountain Energy Ice at Discovery Green | Daily – Now open for the season, the Ice welcomes all to lace up ice skate rentals and head out onto the ice at the beloved winter tradition. Take advantage of discount nights this week, including 50% off on Cheap Skate Monday. $18 includes skate rentals for 75 minutes. Tickets must be ordered in advance onlineTimes vary.

Usher in Concert at Toyota Center | Wednesday, Friday & Saturday – The American singer, songwriter, and dancer brings his Past, Present, Future Tour to Houston for 3 nights, bookending Thanksgiving Day. $99.50 and up, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get sets on the online resale market. 7pm.

The Turkey Trot in Downtown Houston | Thursday – Begin your morning with this event presented by St. Arnold Brewing Co. The 5K, 10K and 1-mile routes take walkers and runners of all ages through Downtown. Expect giveaways, prizes and other fun. $35 and up. 7:30am.

75th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in Downtown | Thursday | FREE – Get into the holiday spirit at the 75th Annual Houston Thanksgiving Day Parade, a showcase of sensational floats, high-flying balloons, marching bands, artistic entries, and live entertainment marching through the streets of Downtown. 9am to 11am.

Thanksgiving Dinners Around Greater Houston | Dine In & To Go | Thursday – Spare your kitchen, dining room, and dishwasher and head out for a traditional, or innovative take on turkey and stuffing. Many restaurants are offering options to go, but have cut off dates to place your order. Times vary.

85th Anniversary at River Oaks Theatre | $8.50 Movie Tickets | Thursday – The beloved, newly restored and reopened movie house on West Gray turns 85 today and is celebrating with a special ticket price to this month’s blockbusters movies Wicked and Gladiator II, plus Anora and the Steve Martin classic Planes, Trains & Automobiles. All shows $8.50. Showings from 11:15am to 10pm.

Space Explorers: The Infinite at Sawyer Yards | Thursday to Saturday | Final Weekend – The immersive VR experience inspired by NASA missions aboard the International Space Station (ISS) is departing after next Saturday, November 30, but there’s still time to see never-before-seen 360-degree videos captured in space, explore the ISS, and experience life as an astronaut before the epic installation ends its Houston run. $29 and up. Times vary.

Silent Night Disco at Market Square Park | Friday | FREE – Slip on a pair of glowing headphones and choose from multiple DJ-curated playlists featuring holiday classics, upbeat hits, and wintery vibes at this weekly family-friendly holiday season pop-up. 7pm to 9pm.

The Suffers in Concert at Axelrad Beer Garden | Friday | FREE H-Town’s own gulf coastal soul group—headlined by Kam Franklin and known for their ’70s R&B, disco, jazz, and contemporary gospel—performs a free show in Midtown’s unofficial backyard. Get there early for a good spot. 8pm.

Houston Margarita Festival at the Water Works | Saturday – The celebration of all things ‘rita returns to Buffalo Bayou Park with a day of drink, food, live music, and dancing. Try from 19 flavors, including raspberry, peach mango, jalapeno, pumpkin spice and more. $15 and up. 1pm to 9pm.

Holiday Brews on the Bend at Bayou Bend | Saturday – Enjoy beer tastings on the house museum’s expansive grounds as the Paul Chester Quartet provides live jazz. You’ll be able to sample brews from 8th Wonder, Kona Brewing Co., Saint Arnold, Spindletap, and 9 other breweries. $45. 2pm to 6pm.

Holiday Season Launch, Tree Lighting & Artwalk in Historic Downtown Galveston | Saturday | FREE – Get into the holiday spirit at a trio of overlapping and back-to-back events, staring with the pop-up Dickens Pub at Holiday at Hendley Green, the official Galveston tree lighting at Saengerfest Park, and Galveston’s ArtWalk, when downtown shops, galleries and restaurants stay open late and offer freebies to visitors. 4pm to 9pm.

Oh, What Fun! Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration at City Place | Sunday | FREE – December launches with a holiday bang with a pop-up celebration in Spring featuring a giant gingerbread village, trackless train rides, photos with Santa, snow experiences, a holiday DJ, face painting and balloon artists, a vendor market, and more. 3pm to 7pm.
