  • Table to Stage with Chris Shepherd: David Chang at Stages | Monday, June 10 – The James Beard–winning chef and Momofuku owner, as well as host of Ugly Delicious on Netflix, David Chang rounds out the ongoing Table to Stage series with Chef Chris Shepherd. Since last fall, Shepherd has sat with exciting voices in the local and broader culinary scene for intimate conversations about inspirations, careers and audience questions. $45 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Black Is… Black Ain’t Film Screening at Houston Museum of African American Culture | Wednesday, June 12 | FREE – Director Marlon Riggs’ final film is screened at HMAAC, just as it approaches its 30th anniversary. In the film, Riggs explores the numerous definitions of Blackness by traversing the country and talking with Black people across the spectrum of age, class, orientation and other characteristics. 7:30pm.
  • Craft Brew Stroll on 19th Street | Thursday, June 13 – Stroll up and down 19th Street in the heart of the Heights and sample beers from multiple breweries, poured up in a signature 19th Street pint glass you can take home. $20. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Summer Species: Flutter Fling at Buffalo Bayou Park’s Lost Lake | Friday, June 14 | FREE – At this butterfly extravaganza, there will be butterfly crafts, a butterfly walk, a Pollinator Parade and other family fun. Arrive early and take part in a guided Butterfly Walk with Nancy Greig, the retired founding director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center at HMNS. RSVPs strongly encouraged. 9am to 11am.
  • Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle 20th Anniversary Outdoor Film Party at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday, June 14 – Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the classic stoner comedy, Asia Society Texas hosts an outdoor screening, complete with a Burger-chan take on the White Castle slider, a trivia contest, and complimentary beer, soju and cocktails. $30. 7pm to 10pm.

  • ITZY at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, June 14 – The sensational SoKo girl pop band brings their fierce energy and powerful voices to Sugar Land in celebration of their 2024 release, Born to Be. $72 and up. 8pm. 
  • Megan Thee Stallion in Concert at Toyota Center | Friday, June 14 & Saturday, June 15 – The Houston rap star takes over the Toyota Center stage for back-to-back nights, just days before the late-June drop of her newly announced album, Megan. $100 and up. 7pm.
  • Juneteenth: A Musical Journey Through Eras at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, June 14 & Saturday, June 15 | FREE – This special two-night concert series offers a poignant exploration of Black music’s evolution—and the reflections and impacts of history. Each night features different focuses, from the R&B, gospel and blues of 1960 to 1980, to the rise of hip-hop and beyond from 1980 to 2000. 8pm.
  • Juneteenth Festival & Celebration at Menard Park | Saturday, June 15 | FREE – In the birthplace of the national holiday, Galveston celebrates Juneteenth with its annual outdoor fest held along Seawall Boulevard at Menard Park. Expect vendors, live entertainment and plenty of family fun to mark the occasion. Noon to 8pm.
  • Juneteenth at Emancipation Park | Saturday, June 15 | FREE – Joy, unity and cultural pride will be on display as Emancipation Park welcomes all to join in its annual Juneteenth celebration, commemorating the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas. The fun kicks off with the 2nd Annual Freedom Walk/Run from 7am to 11am, followed by the day’s festivities and concerts beginning at 4pm (the crowd typically starts gathering around 3pm). Expect a night of good music, good food, good people and great vibes. 4pm to 9pm.

  • Houston SaberCats vs. Seattle Seawolves at SaberCats Stadium | Saturday, June 15 – Cheer on the top team in Major League Rugby, the SaberCats as they take No. 2 team, Seattle Seawolves at Pride Night in the ‘Cats second-to-last home game of the season. $15 and up. 6pm.
  • Os Mutantes in Concert at the Continental Club | Saturday, June 15 – Performing since the 1960s, the hugely influential Brazilian rock group arrives for an intimate concert in the heart of Mid Main. $30 and up. 9pm.
  • Tokyo X Festival at NRG Center | Saturday, June 15 & Sunday, June 16 – The largest Japanese festival in Houston, the two-day Tokyo X Festival takes a dive deep into Japanese culture with an array of attractions, including street foods prepared by local Houston chefs, night markets, a car showcase, anime, cosplay, music, live performances, and more. Saturday $40; Sunday $35. Times vary.
  • Father’s Day Dinger Derby at Home Run Dugout | Sunday, June 16 – Dads and their kids are invited to participate in a Father’s Day edition of the Home Run Derby at the Katy batting cages and bar, for the top prize as best Father-Child pair. The winning team will receive a free 90-minute batting bay experience. Registration is $10 per pair. 3pm.
  • Juneteenth Culture Fest at Avenida Houston | Sunday, June 16 | FREE – Along Avenida and into Discovery Green, this Juneteenth celebration offers a full evening of live music, BLCK Market vendors, food trucks, and a fireworks finale to cap off the night. 4pm to 9pm.
