- AIDS Walk Houston 2021: Virtual Edition | Ends Friday, April 9 | Virtual – Walk, run, dance, swim, or even cook to help raise funds for ending the HIV epidemic in the final days of AIDS Foundation Houston’s 32nd annual fundraiser, which was extended through Friday, April 9, 2021.
- Astrodome Conservancy presents Race for the Dome: Virtual Edition with Limited Onsite Race Option | Daily | Virtual Option – Race to promote a brighter future for the ‘Dome at this in-person and virtual race benefiting the Astrodome Conservancy. Runners, walkers and strollers are encouraged to race eight laps (approximately 5K) at their own pace through Sunday, April 11. The first 500 race registrants will receive free, limited-edition Astrodome swag; the first 200 registrants will have special access to complete on-site laps around the Eighth Wonder of the World at NRG Park. Registration starts at $30 and includes a finisher’s medal; $60 includes a bib and an official shirt.

- NWSL Challenge Cup 2021 Opening Match: Houston Dash vs. Chicago Red Stars at BBVA Stadium | Friday, April 9 – H-Town’s reigning 2020 Challenge Cup champs return home for the opening game of the 2021 edition of the tournament, kicking things off with a rematch against the 2020 runners-up, Chicago Red Stars. Tickets start at $10. 7:30pm.
- Front Lawn Film Nights: Enter the Dragon Movie Screening at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday, April 9 – The third screening of Asia Society’s outdoor film series showcasing groundbreaking filmmakers and artists brings Bruce Lee’s final film, Enter the Dragon, to the front lawn of the Museum District. This work from the legendary martial arts master remains one of the most influential kung fu films of all time. Lawn seating is available by the pod (up to 4 people) for $40; $30 for Asia Society members. Popcorn and candy packages available for $10. 8pm.

- The Market at Sawyer Yards | Saturday, April 10 | No Cover – Browse a curated monthly market featuring artisan crafts, folk art, specialty foods and more, as well as live music from Hot City Brass, while immersing in the work of regional artists who will be opening up their studios to the public. 11am to 5pm.
- Screwed Up Click (S.U.C.) Talk and Performance at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston | Saturday, April 10 | FREE | Virtual Option – Hear from Houston rap legends E.S.G., Lil’ Flip and Will-Lean, members of the Screwed Up Click (S.U.C.), as they perform and share personal stories related to DJ Screw, in conjunction with CAMH’s exhibition Slowed and Throwed: Records of the City Through Mutated Lenses. Seating is limited and provided to ensure social distancing during the event. The outdoor performance is also live-streaming on CAMH’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages. 2pm to 4pm.
