• The Gaslight Anthem at House of Blues | Monday, May 1 – The indie punk alt-rock boys from Jersey are coming through Downtown where they will kick off their spring tour at the House of Blues. $39.50 and up. 6:30pm. 
• Lil Wayne at House of Blues | Tuesday, May 2 – Lil Tunechi himself is coming through H-Town on his Welcome to tha Carter tour. $79.95 and up. 7pm.
• The Black Dahlia Murder at White Oak Music Hall | Tuesday, May 2 – The Michigan melodic death metal band comes to the Northside in an emotional first return to the stage since the tragic passing of frontman Trevor Strnad. $25 and up. 6pm.
• Tedeschi Trucks Band at Smart Financial Centre | Tuesday, May 2 – The married duo of Tedeschi and Trucks bring their Americana blues rock and roll act to Sugar Land with tunes from their 2022 release I Am the Moon. $60 and up. 7:30pm.
• Tom Jones at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, May 5 – The legendary “It’s Not Unusual” singer heads to Sugar land to sing some songs and steal some hearts. $60 and up. 8pm.

• Cinco de Mayo at Miller: Pasatono Orquesta at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, May 5 | FREE – Celebrate Mexican culture with Pasatono Orquesta, a group who dedicates itself to preserving, sharing, and reinterpreting the music of the Indigenous Mesoamerican peoples, the Mixtec of Oaxaca. 8pm.
• Tennis at Warehouse Live | Friday, May 5 – Husband-and-wife indie dream pop duo Tennis is bringing music from Pollen for a night in EaDo. $25 and up. 8pm.
• La Izquierda Surf & Music Festival at Galveston’s Beach Central | Friday, May 5 to Sunday, May 7 – Head down island for a three-day celebration of beach culture and live music, with 20 acts including headliner Bun B on Saturday along with sets from other local favorites Swimwear Department, Los Skarnales, Young Mammals, India Tigers in Texas, and more. The festival will also feature surf competitions, on Saturday, yoga, vendors, food trucks, art installations, and more. Free on Friday; $20 per day on Saturday and Sunday. Times vary.
• 30footFall: 30th Anniversary Concert at the Heights Theater | Saturday, May 6 – Houston Hall of Famers 30footFall are celebrating their 30th anniversary with the city in the Heights, with Action Frank and Valhalla Cinema supporting. $16 and up. 8pm.
• Steve Miller Band at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Saturday, May 6 – The space cowboy and his band have landed in the Woodlands and they are sure to shake some trees as the classic rock band celebrates more than 60 years of music making, with Cheap Trick in tow. $26 and up. 7pm.
• Iron & Wine with the Houston Chamber Choir at South Main Baptist Church | Saturday, May 6 – This evening of music features Iron & Wine performing, for the very first time, with a chorale ensemble in what is sure to be a memorable night of beautiful music. Sold out but a waitlist is available. 7:30pm.

• The Faint DJ Set at El Segundo Swim Club | Sunday, May 7 – Start your Sunday off right with a DJ set by the absolute stalwarts of indie rock in preparation for their supporting spot at the Yeah Yeah Yeahs show later in the evening. $30. 11am.
• Jazzy Sunday: The Suffers, with Maryum Echo at the Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park | Sunday, May 7 | FREE – Houston’s queen of gulf coast soul, Kam Franklin and her band the Suffers, are kicking off the Jazzy Sunday series at the Water Works. 5pm to 7pm.

• NMIXX at Bayou Music Center | Tuesday, May 9 – The South Korean all-girl pop group is rolling through Downtown, fresh off the heels of their March debut EP, Expérgo, on their Nice to MIXX You Showcase tour. $59 and up. 8pm.
