  • Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters in Concert at Main Street Crossing | Tuesday, September 3 & Wednesday, September 4 – Tomball’s destination live music venue welcomes Billy Bob and his band for two live shows in the intimate and up-close space. The band’s musical draws from musical inspirations including the Beatles, Byrds, Beach Boys,The Mothers of Invention, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Big Star. $98. 8pm both nights.
  • Twenty One Pilots at Toyota Center | Wednesday, September 4 – Alternative rock and hip hop duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dunn, known for hits like “Stressed Out” and “Heathens” ride into Downtown on the Clancy World Tour. $59 and up. 8pm.
  • Bilmuri in Concert at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, September 5 – The indie-pop/post-hardcore act takes the stage at the Heights venue. Since the release of Jaguar Shark in 2016, the singer has drawn inspo from neon pop-punk, with hardcore and emo music influences. $25. 7pm.
  • Kaitlin Butts in Concert at The Heights Theater | Thursday, September 5 – The country singer-songwriter brings her Oklahoma twang and storytelling chops to Houston as part of her world tour. With songs like “Hunt You Down” and “Marfa Lights,” she’s garnered legions of fans across the country and around the world. $20 and up. 7pm.
  • Pulse of a People: Jalen Baker’s Jazz Quintet at Alta Arts Space | Thursday, September 5 – Be among the first to hear this new suite of music based on the happenings, culture and importance of the Black communities of Houston’s Third, Fourth, and Fifth Wards—performed by a nine-piece ensemble that includes both The Jalen Baker Jazz Quintet and The Apollo Chamber Players. $35. 7:30pm. 
  • Summer Salt at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, September 5 – The Heights-area venue welcomes the indie folk act from Austin. With breezy harmonies and pop flourishes, the group is known for offering a fresh musical perspective on the folk genre, while offering familiar vibes. $28 and up. 8pm.
  • Galactic Empire at Warehouse Live Midtown | Friday, September 6 – The cult sensation known for its guitar-heavy metal reinterpretations of classic and modern Star Wars theme, mostly written by John Williams, alters the deal in a fan-pleasing show in Midtown. $25. 6:30pm.
  • DaCamera presents Endea Owens & the Cookout at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Friday, September 6 | FREE – One of jazz’s most vibrant emerging artists, Owens graduated from Julliard and immediately joined The Late Show With Stephen Colbert house band, Stay Human. Her work’s been featured in Judas and the Black Messiah, and she’s won Emmy, Grammy and George Foster Peabody awards. 8pm.
  • Imagine Dragons at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, September 6 – The epic Las Vegas-born pop-rock act—fronted by Dan Reynolds, with guitarist Wayne Sermon and bassist Ben McKee—will take over The Woodlands stage with their hits that include “Radioactive”, “Demons”, and “Believer.” $129 and up. 7pm.
  • Jazz Houston presents Sarah Vaughan at 100! at Wortham Center | Saturday, September 7 – In collaboration with Performing Arts Houston and featuring Grammy Award winner Dianne Reeves, this celebration of the legendary singer features songs from her catalog of hits, along with songs in tribute to her powerhouse talent. $50 and up. 7pm.
  • Ramona in Concert at Continental Club | Saturday, September 7– The Midtown mainstay welcomes the Tijuana indie band that’s created its own niche in rock music, performing alongside acts like Natalia Lafourcade, Hello Seahorse, Enjambre, Kinky, Unknown Mortal and more. $20 and up. 9pm.
  • Indo-American Association presents Sonam Kalra Performances Around Houston | Saturday, September 7 & Sunday, September 8 – The multiple award-winning Sufi singer, songwriter and composer performs two distinct shows in the heart of Houston, kicking off with the concert Ibadat: The Voice Within, Sonam Kalra at The Hobby Center on Saturday, followed by the musical and visual multimedia event Sarhad – Partition: Stories of Separation at MATCH in Midtown. Locations and times vary.
  • Fea in Concert at Black Magic Social Club | Sunday, September 8 – The all-female Chicana punk band from San Antonio comes to Houston on the last stop of its tour. Iggy Pop has praised their work, and reviewers call them “trailblazing.” Quinn the Brain and Mannon share the bill. $10. 7pm to midnight.
  • Childish Gambino in Concert at Toyota Center | Sunday, September 8 – The artist also known as Donald Glover comes to Houston as part of a new world tour.
