  • Texas New Music Festival at MATCH | Daily | Some FREE – This summer fest offers a week of world-class performances and lectures while providing career building opportunities for international musical artists across the Houston community. Enjoy concerts (including a free one on Wednesday), and a guest lecture on Saturday with Carlos Chavez, Mexico’s first international composer. $20 for individual concerts; $50 for a festival pass.   • Paramore, Foals & the Linda Lindas at Toyota Center | Tuesday, July 11 – Hayley Williams leads her rock and roll band Paramore to Clutch City, supported by teen punk sensations, the Linda Lindas and British rockers Foals. $40.50 and up. 7pm.
  • TUTS: A Celebration of Houston Stories & Songs at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Tuesday, July 11 to Saturday, July 15 | FREE – Theatre Under the Stars celebrates 55 years and Miller’s centennial with five nights of performances from celebrated Houston stars taking on iconic songs from TUTS’ history of Broadway productions and more. Arrive early for Friday and Saturday’s performance at 6:30pm for a celebration of Miller Outdoor with puppet shows, magicians and a larger-than-life birthday cake photo opportunity. 8:30pm.
  • División Minúscula at White Oak Music Hall | Wednesday, July 12 – Having just celebrated their 26th anniversary together, the seminal rock band out of Mexico will command the downstairs stage at White Oak. $42 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Will Sheff of Okkervil River at the Heights Theater | Wednesday, July 12 – Austin transplant and indie rock ’n’ roller Will Sheff brings music from his first semi-solo release, Nothing Special, along with a few familiar tunes from his band Okkervil River. $24 and up. 8pm.
  • Ben Kweller, with Robert Ellis at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, July 13 – Ben Kweller takes a little time off from touring with Ed Sheeran to roll through the South with support of hometown singer-songwriter Robert Ellis, appropriately on 713 Day. $30. 7pm.
  • Ace Frehley at House of Blues | Friday, July 14 – One of the founding members of rock band Kiss, the face-melting guitarist is heading to the House of Blues to rock and roll all night. $39.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Noche de Cumbia at Axelrad | Friday, July 14 | FREE – The Third Ward watering hole hosts its monthly evening of Cumbia music on the outdoor stage, featuring Wamaygallo, Sonora Hechicera, Rosez and Seys. 21+ only. 7pm to 1:30am.
  • Zeshan B in Concert at Asia Society Texas | Friday, July 14 – Presented as part of Asia Society Texas’ Muslim Series, this concert showcases Zeshan B’s music with its South Asian influences and gospel-tinged touches. $30. 7:30pm to 9pm.
  • Marca MP at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, July 14 – The California-based trio making Regional Mexican music is bringing their flair for banda, mariachi, and more to Sugar Land with the Brindo tour. $44 and up. 8pm.
  • Bobby Pulido at Rise Rooftop | Friday, July 14 – Son of the Tejano legend Roberto “El Primo” Pulido, Bobby is showing everyone that the talent apple doesn’t fall far from the Tejano tree when he performs with the band, Grupo Delirio. $25 and up. 9pm.
  • 23rd Anniversary Bash at Continental Club | Saturday, July 15 | No Cover – Get ready for a good time in celebration of the Mid-Main concert venue and backyard dive, Continental Club, when they host a Customer Appreciation Party honoring 23 years of service. The packed concert lineup features sets from Tomar & the FCs, the Allen Oldies Band, Jane Woe, the Lonesome Haunts, and many others. 7pm to 2am.
  • Mixed Media: The Suffers in Concert at MFAH | Saturday, July 15 – The Museum of Fine Arts Houston hosts a late-night party that offers live music from the Suffers, Lenora and DJ Tay Powers, plus dancing and drinks, and a look at the new exhibition, William Kentridge: In Praise of Shadows. $30. 8pm to midnight.
  • Colombian Fest International at Houston City Hall | Sunday, July 16 – Celebrate Colombian independence at Texas’ biggest celebration of its kind, boasting authentic art and food, as well as a local market, children’s games and more.   • Tears for Fears, with Cold War Kids at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Sunday, July 16 – The English pop duo are bringing some of the most iconic tunes of the ’80s era to the Woodlands, along with their latest release, The Tipping Point. $29.50 and up. 7:30pm.
