- Miracle Pop-Up at Daiquiri Time Out, Johnny’s Gold Brick & Winnie’s | All Month Long – Beloved holiday cocktail pop-up Miracle returns to Houston watering holes Johnny’s Gold Brick, Winnie’s, and DTO (in Galveston) this season, running through December 31. The kitschy, holiday-themed pop-up bars offer a bit of holiday magic in the form of cheery cocktails—like the Grandma Got Runover by A T-Rex, Island of Misfit Toys, and Ruldolph’s Rum Rhapsody, plus over-the-top nostalgic holiday décor, festive snacks, and spirited vibes. Times and prices vary.
- Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration at Paraiso Maravilla | Select dates through Friday, December 16 – Guests are invited to step into Hogwarts for a magical night of “well-mannered frivolity” at this Harry Potter-themed pop-up. Expect a lively dance floor, traditional British fare and tasty treats (including Butterbeer), a Yule Ball Market for gifts, wands, and robes, and all kinds of magic. Tickets for the two-hour experience start at $69. Times vary.
- LORO x Uchi Collaboration Dinner at Loro | Wednesday, November 30 & Thursday, December 1 – Loro in the Heights will be hosting this collaborative dinner, wowing with traditional Japanese dishes from the sushi institute, Uchi, and its sibling restaurants Uchiko and Uchibā, along with smoked meats from the Asian and Texan-inspired smokehouse, Loro. Highlights include sesame pecan noodles, beef rib or stuffed rainbow trout, edamame jalapeño hummus, wedge salad with marinated tomatoes, toasted breadcrumbs, miso-blue cheese, and key lime pie with ginger meringue and cookies. The exclusive tasting menu will be available for two nights, dine-in only for $74.95. 11am to 10pm.
- Tamale Festival Houston at Navigation Esplanade | Saturday, December 3 – The 11th annual Tamale Festival Houston returns, bringing family-friendly entertainment (including a Shakira tribute) to East End’s Navigation Esplanade. $9.99 and up. 11am to 7pm.
- Houston Margarita Festival at the Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park | Saturday, December 3 – The 10th annual Houston Margarita Festival offers marg flavors from green apple and peach mango to cucumber and jalapeño pepper. Guests can sip and jam to live music from top bands playing ‘80s covers, Latin salsa, Top 40s, R&B, Motown, and more. $10 and up. Noon to 10pm.
- Breakfast with Santa at Hilton Americas-Houston | Saturdays & Sundays in December – Every Saturday and Sunday through Christmas Eve, guests are invited to the annual Breakfast with Santa experience at Hilton Americas-Houston’s 1600 Bar + Grille. $29.75 per person; $14.50 per child. 9am to 1pm.
- Sazon Latin Food Festival at Karbach Brewing Co. | Sunday, December 4 | FREE with RSVP – Going down at Karbach Brewery, this foodie-inspired Latin food and entertainment festival will feature a variety of eats that span Latin America alongside Latin rhythms and beats. 11am to 6pm.
- Annual Wine Sale at 13 Celsius | Sunday, December 4 – Midtown wine favorite 13 Celsius will host its annual wine sale and customer appreciation event, offering a special tasting for $13 per person that will give customers an opportunity to sample and purchase its massive stable of wines at wholesale prices. Wine may also be purchased online beginning on Black Friday, November 25 through Sunday, December 4. 1pm to midnight.
- Supper Clubs at the Annie Café & Bar | Sunday, December 4 & Saturday, December 31 – The Annie has re-imagined the classic dinner and show, hosting a series of Sunday Suppers in its main dining room, complete with live musical entertainment by the Richard Brown Orchestra and a three-course meal by Executive Chef Brian Sutton (Chef Robert Del Grande’s successor). This month, the restaurant will host two events—an Elvis Presley-themed Viva la Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 4 at 6pm ($250 per person); and a Rat Pack NYE Celebration on Sunday, December 31 (seatings are $250 per person at 6pm and $350 per person at 9:15pm; the second show will be black tie attire and will include a festive New Year’s countdown and champagne toast).
- Lights On White Oak 2022 at White Oak Drive | Saturday, December 10 | No Cover – As the annual Lights in the Heights celebration takes over the neighborhood streets around Baylor and Woodland, White Oak bars are inviting guests to pull out the ugly Christmas sweaters and continue the party along their strip. Participating bars include Christian’s Tailgate, Little Woodrow’s in the Heights, Bobcat Teddy’s Ice House, and Permission Whiskey Bar, to name a few; and party goers can expect live music, food trucks, festive drinks, and more. 4pm to 2am.
- Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023 at B&B Butchers & Restaurant | New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31 – Say farewell to 2022 by joining B&B Butchers & Restaurant’s New Year’s Eve celebration. The fun, festive evening will feature B&B’s signature steakhouse offerings, flowing drinks, party favors and live music downstairs from 7pm to 10pm and continuing with DJ music on the upstairs patio from 10pm to 1am. There is no ticket fee or prix-fixe menu, so guests can order off the regular dinner menu, however reservations are required. 7pm to 1am.
- New Year’s Eve Dinner at GJ Tavern | New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31 – The luxe Downtown tavern will host an intimate six-course dinner and pairing experience to welcome the new year, offering two seating times. Chef Tim Reading has curated special food and wine pairings to celebrate the occasion, including East coast oysters with champagne mignonette, Gulf fish ceviche, truffle arancinis, lobster ravioli, braised short rib, and desserts. Guests will also be gifted a sweet takeaway at the end of their meals, and the second seating will enjoy a midnight champagne toast of Lallier NV and live music. $100 for the early seating; $150 for the late seating. Seatings at 5pm to 8pm; 9pm to midnight.
