• Asian American & Pacific Islander Restaurant Weeks | Ongoing through Saturday, June 15 – The fifth annual celebration of culinary heritage of AAPI communities in Houston continues in this city-wide event. With a donation of $25 or more, folks can unlock the AAPI Restaurant Week digital passport with a QR code to access special deals from over 50 AAPI and AAPI-owned restaurants—from Be More Pacific and Blood Bros. • 20th Annual Wine & Food Week in the Woodlands | Wednesday, June 5 to Saturday, June 8 – Wine and Food Week celebrates 20 years with a week of individual gastronomic delights and culinary events. Highlights include Aruba Fusion: Stretch, Sip & Savor and Wine Around the World Wednesday on Wednesday, Get Frosted at Rosé Way on Thursday, Sip, Suds and Savor on Friday, and capped off by the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase on Saturday. • Vampire Weekend in Concert at 713 Music Hall | Thursday, June 6 – Fresh off the release of Only God Was Above Us, Vampire Weekend brings their jangly pop melodies to the Downtown venue while embarking on a 45-city tour through North America. $34 and up. 7pm.
• Opening Night: The Big Show 2024 at Lawndale Art Center | Friday, June 7 | FREE – The supersized annual exhibition at Lawndale returns for its 40th year, presenting new work by artists practicing within a 100-mile radius of the art space. More than 140 pieces have been chosen by this year’s guest juror, Dr. Laura Augusta, and the annual summer show often draws big crowds to opening night at the Main Street gallery. 5pm to 7pm.
• 30th Anniversary Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday, June 8 – The oldest craft brewery in Texas is celebrating 30 years of beers with an all-day birthday bash. The festival will feature several marquee musical acts from the Bayou City collaborating for the first time, including Kam Franklin, Devin the Dude, Robert Ellis and Fat Tony—plus food and beverages throughout the day, as well as commemorative glassware and throwback merch. $15 and up. 2pm to 10pm.

• Table to Stage with Chris Shepherd: David Chang at Stages | Monday, June 10 – The James Beard–winning chef and Momofuku owner, as well as host of Ugly Delicious on Netflix, David Chang rounds out the ongoing Table to Stage series with Chef Chris Shepherd. Since last fall, Shepherd has sat with exciting voices in the local and broader culinary scene for intimate conversations about inspirations, careers and audience questions. $45 and up. 7:30pm.
• Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle 20th Anniversary Outdoor Film Party at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday, June 14 – Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the classic stoner comedy, Asia Society Texas hosts an outdoor screening, complete with a Burger-chan take on the White Castle slider, a trivia contest, and complimentary beer, soju and cocktails. $30. 7pm to 10pm.
• Megan Thee Stallion in Concert at Toyota Center | Friday, June 14 & Saturday, June 15 – The Houston rap star takes over the Toyota Center stage for back-to-back nights, just days before the late-June drop of her newly announced album, Megan. $100 and up. 7pm.
• Juneteenth at Emancipation Park | Saturday, June 15 | FREE – Joy, unity and cultural pride will be on display as Emancipation Park welcomes all to join in its annual Juneteenth celebration, commemorating the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas. The fun kicks off with the 2nd Annual Freedom Walk/Run from 7am to 11am, followed by the day’s festivities and concerts beginning at 4pm (the crowd typically starts gathering around 3pm). Expect a night of good music, good food, good people and great vibes. 4pm to 9pm. 
• Os Mutantes in Concert at the Continental Club | Saturday, June 15 – Performing since the 1960s, the hugely influential Brazilian rock group arrives for an intimate concert in the heart of Mid Main. $30 and up. 9pm.

• Tokyo X Festival at NRG Center | Saturday, June 15 & Sunday, June 16 – The largest Japanese festival in Houston, the two-day Tokyo X Festival takes a dive deep into Japanese culture with an array of attractions, including street foods prepared by local Houston chefs, night markets, a car showcase, anime, cosplay, music, live performances, and more. Saturday $40; Sunday $35. Times vary.
• Father’s Day Dinger Derby at Home Run Dugout | Sunday, June 16 – Dads and their kids are invited to participate in a Father’s Day edition of the Home Run Derby at the Katy batting cages and bar, for the top prize as best Father-Child pair. The winning team will receive a free 90-minute batting bay experience. Registration is $10 per pair. 3pm.
• Juneteenth Culture Fest at Avenida Houston | Sunday, June 16 | FREE – Along Avenida and into Discovery Green, this Juneteenth celebration offers a full evening of live music, BLCK Market vendors, food trucks, and a fireworks finale to cap off the night. 4pm to 9pm.
• Catastrophic Theatre presents Tamarie’s Texas Toast! at MATCH | Thursday, June 20 | Ongoing – It’s not summer without the annual chaos from the mind of Tamarie Cooper. This year’s show finds Cooper and her merry maniacs delivering a production as big as the Lone Star State. • 46th Houston Pride Celebration Festival & Parade at Houston City Hall | Saturday, June 29 | FREE – The 46th annual pride celebration takes to the streets of Downtown Houston near City Hall for a parade gathering that typically draws hundreds of thousands each year. Arrive earlier to celebrate at the all-day festival, featuring live performances by K. Michelle, David Archuleta, Kayla G and Brooke Eden. Parade viewing is free; festival is $5 in advance for ages 21 to 54. 11am to 10pm; Parade begins at 7:30pm.
