Top 12 Things to Do with Kids this Week in Houston

  • Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo | Monday, October 31 – Zoo Boo is back. Bring your little pumpkins to the Zoo for photos in the pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, costume parades and more. Entrance to Zoo Boo is included with Zoo admission. 9am to 1pm.
  • Moe’s Monster Mash Bash at the Children’s Museum | Monday, October 31 – There will be a DJ spinning ghoulish tunes at a Monster Mashup dance party at 4:30pm, followed by a Thriller dance party at 5pm. There will be monster trick-or-treating, craft and activity stations and more. Activities are included in the regular museum admission for $12. 3pm to 8pm.
  • Spooktacular at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Monday, October 31 – The Woodlands Children’s Museum is planning its annual Halloween SpookTacular Monster Mash Party, an event filled with child-friendly games, art projects, and activities. Nothing will be scary; it’s all about fun. Children get in for $7 for members and $9 for nonmembers. 4pm to 8pm.
  • Monster Mash Halloween Spooktacular at Memorial City Mall | Monday, October 31 | FREE – Bring the kids in costume for the Monster Mash Halloween Spooktacular to enjoy trick-or-treating courtesy of Children’s Memorial Hermann, a Beetlejuice DJ, arts and crafts and more. 5pm to 7pm.
  • Pumpkin Carving Workshop at the Orange Show | Monday, October 31 | FREE – Expert pumpkin carvers will be on hand to teach you the tricks and treats of creating a masterpiece. At dusk, trick or treating will start and take place throughout The Orange Show and Smither Park, with volunteer stationed throughout giving out candy to the kids. 5pm to 7:30pm.
  • Halloween Trick or Treat at CityCentre | Monday, October 31 – CityCentre offers children and parents the opportunity to prowl the district for tasty treasures during a district-wide trick-or-treat followed by a monster mash under the stars as a DJ spins tunes in the plaza. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Science on Stage at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Tuesday, November 2 – Prepare to be amazed and intrigued as The Woodland’s Children’s Museum explore fun science experiments up close and live on stage. Tickets are $6. 11:30am to noon.
  • H-E-B Movie Night: The Good Dinosaur at Discovery Green | Friday, November 4 | FREE – Bring the kids to watch The Good Dinosaur under the stars at Discovery Green in Downtown. 7:30pm to 10pm.
  • 11th Annual iFest Live at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, November 5 | FREE – This international festival celebrates the diversity of cultures within the community and features dozens of local organizations that will showcase their unique and vibrant heritages from all around the world through performances, art, food, and activities. 10am to 2pm.
  • Hands-On Houston Family Festival: A Celebration of Clay at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft | Saturday, November 5 | FREE – Families and visitors of all ages are invited to this fun day of indoor and outdoor activities. This year, HCCC celebrates clay and polymer clay with hands-on activities, demonstrations by local artists and more. 11am to 3pm.
  • Harvest Fest at Harvest Green | Saturday, November 5 | FREE – Harvest Green kicks off the season into high gear with a fall festival featuring pumpkin carving, tasty food trucks, a farmers market, and tours of the on-site Village Farm. 11am to 4pm.
  • Star Wars The Force Awakens at Discovery Green | Saturday, November 5 | FREE – Catch a screening of Star Wars The Force Awakens under the stars at Discovery Green in Downtown. 7pm.
