- IAH Walk, Run and Wheel 5K in Sugarland – Walk, Run or Wheel your way to the finish line in this 5K that honors wounded Heroes. $40. 7am.
- Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes – Participate in a 3K walk or 5K run in either The Woodlands or Downtown Houston to help stop Diabetes. While there is no fee to walk or run in this event, participants are encouraged to donate and/or raise funds for ADA. 9am.
- AIA Houston Heights Bicycle Tour – Grab your bike and head to the Houston Public Library’s Heights branch for a tour of the historic Heights. $10; $5 AIA members. 10am.
- Houston Cougars vs. Tulsa Golden Hurricane Football at TDECU Stadium – Rally behind the Cougars as they face the Golden Hurricane from Tulsa. Tickets start at $25, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 2pm.
- 6th Annual Houston Wine Festival in Downtown – Calling all winos to Houston Wine Fest at Jones Plaza. Guests will have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of wines from local, regional and international vineyards while enjoying live music and food vendors. $10 per person; DD tickets are $5. 2pm to 10pm.
- Third Ward Community Holiday Showcase | FREE to attend – Pick up gifts for everyone on your list at this holiday showcase presented by Project Row Houses. 3pm to 7pm.
- Lighting of the Doves in The Woodlands – Bring the whole family to experience the 32nd annual lighting of the doves along The Woodlands Waterway. Guests will enjoy live music, kid’s activities, fireworks and the arrival of Santa Claus. 3pm to 9pm.

UPDATE 11/21/14: Moved to Sunday due to Saturday rains.- Silos III: Comunidad & Matriz(x) in the East End | FREE to attend – Partake in the closing ceremonies of Transported + Renewed as artist Ramon Barela’s art work is projected onto 60 food silos. 6pm to 8pm.

- Walk With Me at Enigma Lounge – Enjoy jazz tunes from Grammy-nominated trombonist Thomas Hulten at Enigma Lounge. $25; $10 students. 5pm.
