  • Farmer’s Market Bike Ride Starting at Onion Creek | FREE – Cycle through Houston with Bayou City Outdoors stopping at Farmer’s Markets to shop along the way. This ride is for all levels of riders and is about 12 to 15 miles long, beginning and ending at Onion Creek in the Heights. 8am to noon.
  • Lung Force Charity Walk at University of HoustonWalk for the fight against Lung Cancer during this non-competitive 5k at the University of Houston. The event is free, but participants are encouraged to raise funds for the American Lung Association. 9am.
  • Blissful Warrior Yoga | Free – Roll out your yoga mat at Discovery Green for this free yoga class that incorporates techniques found in tai chi and kung fu. 9am to 10am.
  • Big Boys Brew Bus Tour Visiting Local BreweriesCatch The Houston Wave and ride it to the Karbach, Saint Arnold and back to the 8th Wonder brewery for tours and tastings of local beer. $75. 11am to 3pm.
  • The Taste of Louisiana Festival in Sugar LandGet a taste of Louisiana cuisine and culture during this festival at the Sugar Land Town Square Plaza. Nom on crawfish, etoufee, boudin and gumbo while listening to Zydeco, Blues and Big Brass Band. The kids will have a blast with balloon animals, face painting, obstacle courses and bounce houses. $15; $5 for children 5 to 12 in advance; $20; $7 for children 5 to 12 at the door. Noon to 9pm.
  • D&T Drive Inn 2nd Anniversary Party Belly up for barbecue pork as D&T celebrates two years with a whole pig, smoked for the occasion by pit master Patrick Feges. 12:30pm until the pig is gone.
  • Show Stoppers at the Texas Art AsylumGet out of the house for this American Horror Story themed art show at Texas Art Asylum. The event kicks off with crafts and activities for all ages and will continue with turning recycled wine bottles into planters and viewing submissions from several artists. 1pm to 9pm.
  • The Big Pub Crawl in MidtownTry new beers at just $4 a pint during this I’m on a Boat themed pub-crawl through Midtown. Get a raffle ticket at check-in for your chance to win a bar tab, flat screen TV or tickets to a Dynamo game. Participating bars include Pub Fiction, 3rd Floor, Bar Munich, Dogwood, Gray’s Public House and Komodo’s Pub. $20 includes a wristband and pint glass. 2pm to 9pm.
  • The Pre–Best Damn Food Truck Festival Ever at Hughes HangarChow down on grub from over 15 food trucks while listening to beats from a DJ and enjoying Drink specials. Free with advanced registration; $5 at the door. 4pm to 9pm.
  • Brazarre Houston 2015 at G GalleryBrowse and shop artful bras for a cause while enjoying live music, food and libations during Brazarre Houston at G Gallery. $10 in advance; $15 at the door. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Train in Concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell PavilionHead to The Woodlands for a concert from Train, The Fray and Matt Nathanson at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Tickets start at $25, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork or Ticket Monster’s resale sites. 7pm.
  • Orange Show Psych Fest Have a psychadelic night listening to music from God’s Gun and Houston based bands Indian Jewelry, Future Blondes and B L A C K I E at The Orange Show Monument. $15 in advance; $20 at the door. 7pm to 11pm.
  • Mosiac Hub presents School’s Out for Summer at Ovations Night Club – Catch an original variety show featuring magician Robert Berry, family band The Traveling Murphys, Miss Junior Teen Texas USA, the Texas Steelpan Orchestra, hula dancers and more. $30; limited discounted $15 tickets available. 7:30pm.
  • Lost Element in Concert at Fitzgerald’sSee Houston based rock band Lost Element play at Fitzgerald’s in the Heights. You’ll also hear from opening acts King Finn and If The War Should End. $10. 8pm.
  • Karma: The Wheel of Life at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – Watch a colorful Bollywood production from India House and Naach Houston at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8:30pm.
  • Morgan Page in Concert at Stereo LiveDance to music from house DJ and producer Morgan Page when the two-time Grammy Award nominee performs at Stereo Live. $23.50. 9pm.
