- Trees for Houston Tree Giveaway at Waltrip High School | FREE – Stop by the Heights-area high school and pick up a tree to plant in your yard at this pop-up giveaway event. 9am to noon.
- Texian Market Days at George Ranch Historical Park – The historical park in Fort Bend returns with its 38th annual festival, featuring hands-on activities, battle re-enactments, historic home tours, craft vendors, food, and more for George Ranch’s biggest event of the year. $20; $15 for ages 4 to 13; free for ages 3 and under. 9am to 5pm.
- Bollywood & Bhangra Dance at Levy Park | FREE – This fitness class is open to all ability levels, and will have you learning new moves and getting in shape. 10am.
- Spooktacular at Children’s Museum Houston – Mystifying magic, creepy crafts and science workshops are planned to help you and the little ones get into the spooky spirit. $15. 10am to 5pm.
- Halloween at the Hangar at the Lone Star Flight Museum – The museum is transformed into a spooky space where families can have a ghoulishly good time. Trick-or-treating, crafts and photo ops are among the activities planned, and those 12 and under in costume are free all day. $18; $15 for ages 12 to 17; $12 ages 4 to 11. 10am to 5pm.
- Main Street Theater for Youth presents The Last Stop on Market Street at MATCH – A young boy and his grandmother take a bus ride up Market Street one day after church. Along the way, the boy learns to find extraordinary joy in ordinary places. $18 and up. 10:30am and 1:30pm.
- 2022 KBR Kids Day at Tony Marron Park | FREE – Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s annual family event returns, bringing with it entertainment, hands-on activities, face painting and other fun activities. Costumes are encouraged. 11am to 3pm.
- Bluegrass Fall Fest at Tomball Depot Plaza | No Cover – Enjoy bluegrass music, vendors, family fun and other fall activities at this festival. 11am to 6pm.
- Bun B’s Trill Burgers Pop-Up at Harold’s in the Heights | No Cover – Bun B’s beloved burger pop-up returns to Houston with a stop on 19th Street in the Heights for its first-ever sit-down dining pop-up. Take to the two-story Harold’s in the Heights, and enjoy cocktails, beer and wine as you catch Game 3 of the Astros’ ALCS matchup. 11am to 9pm.
- Korean Festival at Discovery Green | No Cover – Enjoy Korean music, foods, performances, shopping and more at this day-long, family-friendly event in Downtown. 11am to 10pm.
- Houston Filipino Street Festival at Constellation Field – This family-friendly festival celebrates the Philippines and Filipino heritage in a day of music, food, activities and more. $17 and up. Noon to 6pm.
- Bedrock City Comic Con at No Label Brewing | FREE – Celebrate all things comic book and the films and shows they inspire at a Halloween-infused mini-comic con featuring more than 60 vendors—with free trick or treating for kids in costumes—plus appearances by comic talent, local artists, cosplay contests, games, food trucks, live music, tasty brews for the grown-ups, and more. - 2022 Houston AfriFest at Houston Baptist University – Indulge in a celebration of the African continent, featuring local and international vendors, and showcasing arts, music, fashion and foods from across the region. $5; Free for ages 5 and under and for students, veterans, and ages 60 and up. - Five-Star French at Sur La Table – Head to CityCentre and learn tips and tricks to make French classics such as roasted chicken with Béarnaise sauce, Provençal caramelized onion tart and chocolate Grand Marnier soufflé. $89. 1pm.
- Disruptive Patterning at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston | FREE – Drop in to create a pattern of your own and learn about Troy Montes Michie’s research of “camouflage” and its relation to the zoot suit. 1pm to 4pm.
- All Hallows Read at the Houston Public Library Downtown | FREE – Stop by the Downtown central campus of HPL for an afternoon of pumpkins, free giveaways for those under 18, crafts and reading. Costumes encouraged. 2pm to 4pm.
- Persuasive Public Speaking Workshop for Teens at Blossom Hotel | FREE – The S&S Youth Foundation hosts an event designed to help college-bound students develop communication and speaking skills at the Medical Center-area hotel. Registration required. 2pm to 4pm.
- WellFest at GreenStreet – LifeTime Fitness and GreenStreet in Downtown offer an afternoon of shopping for sustainable wellness products, clean eating tips and more. Classes in yoga, cycle, GTX and pilates are among the classes available for a $20 per class fee. 2pm to 5pm.
- Monster Mash Bash Shooting Event at Precision Camera | FREE – Models in special effects makeup will strike a variety of poses for photographers of all levels, and you’ll have an opportunity to win a brand new camera. Registration recommended. 4pm to 7pm.
- Sip and Stroll at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens – Live music, storytelling, magic performances, and art-making for adults are part of this afternoon themed around magic and mystery in early America. $35. 4pm to 7pm.

- Houston Happy Hour Halloweekend Bar Crawl in Midtown – The first of three bar crawl nights (the other two taking place across Halloween weekend) sends costumed revelers to The Dogwood in Midtown for check-in, followed by multiple stops at surrounding bars that will offer drink specials, live DJs, and a costume contest. - DFW Vintage presents Swap Meet at Post Houston | No Cover – Buy, sell or swap vintage apparel, sneakers, music, art, and memorabilia from the ’70s, ’90s, and 2000s with over 80 vendors at Post Houston. 6pm to 10pm.
