- Latin Restaurant Weeks | Daily – Celebrate Latin-owned culinary businesses by dining at more than 45 local restaurants during the two-week Latin Restaurant Weeks, featuring signature items and prix fixe options from spots including La Fisheria, Cafe Piquet, Tony’s Tex Mex, plus newcomers from La Olla to Paisas Chicken. This event runs through Monday, June 14, 2021. $15 to $50 and available for dine-in, takeout or delivery, depending on the restaurant.
- 17th Annual HAAPIFEST: Virtual Edition | Daily – Raise up the community from home during a two-week film festival that highlights and celebrate the diversity of AAPI culture, food, and family, when OCA-Greater Houston presents HAPPIFEST, the Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival. Funds raised will go to HAAPIFEST and OCA-Houston’s arts, culture, and educational programs. Tickets to individual film blocks are $5 each; $35 for an all access pass to all film blocks; $60 for an all access pass plus a HAAPIFEST tshirt. Times vary.
- Love Motel for Insects: Pop-up Events at Buffalo Bayou Park | Thursday to Saturday | FREE – Bring the nature lover in your life for bayou bug-watching at this series of pop-up events led by artist and biologist Brandon Ballengée, who uses UV light to attract nocturnal arthropods like moths, beetles, and other critters. This event takes place at a different spot along Buffalo Bayou each night. 8pm to 10pm nightly.
- The Franchise Expo at NRG Center | Friday & Saturday – Hear from business reps looking for local franchisees and dealers, learn about becoming your own boss through seminars, and more when the Franchise Expo takes place at NRG Center. $10 at the door; free for active military with valid ID. Parking is $15 per vehicle. Times vary.
- A Coupla Chicks Sitting Around Talking at Theatre Southwest | Friday & Saturday – Witness the funnier-than-heck, in-person stage production of A Coupla Chicks Sitting Around Talking, about a strait-laced and uptight Westchester housewife whose next-door neighbor turns her day into comical chaos. $20; $18 for students with valid ID and ages 65+, but limited discounted tickets start at $10. 8pm both evenings.
- Comedian Bob Saget, with Mike Young at Houston Improv | Friday & Saturday – The Grammy-nominated funnyman known for his roles on Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos, as well as his outrageous stand-up routine, will arrive at the Houston Improv for back-to-back sets of new material. $120 for a table of 4; $180 for a table of 6. Showtimes vary.
- Houston International Sports Film Festival at Warehouse Live | Friday to Sunday | FREE – Celebrate all-things-sports while watching films and documentaries on everything from basketball to tennis during three days of the Houston International Sports Film Festival at Warehouse Live in EaDo. Food trucks will be on-site with refreshments and snacks for sale. Times vary. Update 6/4/21: Though originally scheduled to take place at Discovery Green, this event was moved to Warehouse Live due to inclement weather.
- 3rd Annual Houston Tattoo Arts Convention at NRG Center | Friday to Sunday | FREE – Welcome back the world’s largest tattoo convention tour to Downtown when it returns to Houston for the third annual event, featuring some of the best local, national, and international tattoo artists, along with tattoo television celebrities, vendors, side show entertainment, live human suspension, and more. Though free, parking is $15 per vehicle. Times vary.
- The Dr. Seuss Experience at George R. Brown Convention Center | Daily – Meet your favorite characters and tour through settings from nine of Dr. Seuss’ beloved, imaginative books come to life in a sensory spectacle at George R. Brown Convention Center in Downtown. $23; VIP tickets are $50 and allow entry at any time of the selected date purchased. Ages under 12 months are free. Times vary.
- Boxed Combo Meals from Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys Catering | Daily – Take your pick of 12 different delicious sandwich choices from three area locations when Antone’s catering offers up affordable boxed combos featuring beloved sandwich flavors including The Piggy and Super Original, cookies, and chips, perfect for a post-game meal, office luncheon, birthday parties, graduations and more. Boxed combos start at $9.95. 10am to 5pm daily.
- Current Temporary Museum Exhibits & Art Installations on View Around Greater Houston | Daily | Many FREE – Explore the many striking, stunning, and diverse exhibits exploring history, science, art, culture, and creativity around the Greater Houston metro area.

- Mildred’s Umbrella presents Everybody’s Dead | FREE | Virtual – Catch the final date of the company’s Femfest Houston: Virus Edition, with the story of Annika, holed up inside her doomsday bunker. The multi-millionaire made her fortune as the CEO of a company selling doomsday prepper subscription boxes. But now, she’s got cabin fever—and a sex robot—and she’s having second thoughts about everyone she left behind. Free with registration or pay-what-you-can.
- Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox at Minute Maid Park – The ‘Stros host the Sox from Boston in a weekday game against one of the best records in baseball. $15, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. 1:10pm.
- Children’s Bingo at Levy Park | FREE – Start your weekend early with a 30-minute, socially distanced game of bingo for ages 4 to 12, with cards, markers, and prizes provided by Levy Park. 4:30pm.
- Rock the Dock at Kemah Boardwalk | FREE – Dance away at a family-friendly concert with the return of the Rock the Dock series in Kemah. Already Gone will hit the stage, performing the greatest hits of the Eagles, as well as some original songs. 5:30pm.
- Make Yoga your Happy Hour at YogaSix West University | FREE – Find your center while unwinding and recharging at a free outdoor yoga class hosted by YogaSix in West University. Reservations are required and space is limited. 6pm to 8pm.
- Steak Nite at City Orchard | No Cover – Get all the fixins’ while sipping tasty local brew when City Orchard hosts a Steak Nite that includes two sides and suggested cider pairings. Prices vary per menu item. 6pm.
- Urban Green presents Tickets to Ride at Hermann Park – Rescheduled from Thursday, May 20, this spacious outdoor event lets guests ride the rails of the Hermann Park Railroad and see some twilight views, take a pedal boat for a spin on the tranquil McGovern Lake, enjoy food, and more, with proceeds going toward the stewardship and improvement of Hermann Park. This event is presented by Urban Green, a Hermann Park-affiliated group for 20 and 30-somethings, though you do not have to be a member to attend. $35 to $180. 6pm to 8pm.
- Grand Opening at TX/RX Labs | FREE – Cut the ribbon, tour a new maker space, enjoy live music, and more when TX/RX unveils their newest location on Navigation Boulevard in the East End. 6:30pm to 9pm.
- Rage Yoga at Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company – Sip on brew while expressing yourself through screaming and cursing at Rage Yoga at Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company near Washington Ave. This class is ages 21 and up. $20. 7pm.

- Bike Night at Raven Tower | No Cover – Try your hand at raffle and door prizes, enjoy delicious food truck eats, and more when Mancuso Harley-Davidson Central hosts the monthly Bike Night at Raven Tower in the Heights. 7pm to 9pm.
- ’80s Themed Murder Mystery Charity Event at McIntyre’s Heights – Throw on your best ’80s attire and bring your friends with you to solve an era-themed murder case at McIntyre’s Heights, where all proceeds and a portion of the sales on selected cocktails will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Space is limited to 40 teams and pre-registration is required. $20 for two people. 7:30pm.
- Line Dance Lessons at Neon Boots Dancehall & Saloon | No Cover – Get with professional instructors on the floor of Neon Boots Dancehall, where you can try your hand at line dancing. Free darts and pool games will also be available to play. 7:30pm.

- Sparky Parker Band in Concert at the Continental Club – Find the beat and jam out to the blues and rock ‘n’ roll sounds of the Sparky Parker Band during a fun-fueled night at the Continental Club on Mid Main. $10 cover charge. 7pm.
- Dancing Under The Stars at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Break out your dancing shoes for a night of Dancing Under the Stars with Fred Astaire Dance Studio instructors. This month’s focus will be on Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. 7:30pm.

- Houston Metropolitan Dance Center presents Summer ExtravaDance at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Virtual Option – Experience an evening bursting with energy, music, and the intoxicating spirit of dance when Miller Outdoor Theatre and Houston Metropolitan Dance Center present Summer ExtravaDance, featuring an array of dance genres, music, and movement.
