- 1st Street 5K at No Label Brewing – Pound the pavement early at this Katy brewery, then stick around for an afternoon of live music from Taylor Marberry, pop-up shopping with HTX Market beginning at 5pm, and food vendors all day. $65. 8am.
- 43rd Annual Juneteenth Proclamation Reading at Ashton Villa | FREE – Take in a live reading of General Order No. 3, which declared freedom for enslaved people, at the island’s official Juneteenth historic monument at the 1859 Ashton Villa. 10am to 11am.
- Black is Primary: A Juneteenth Festival at Post Houston | FREE – With several events spread across the day, this all-ages event at the Downtown destination hosts a children’s storytime in the morning, followed by multi-disciplinary dance performances with Houston’s Poet Laureate Outspoken Bean, AJ McQueen, Isabel Wallace-Green of Alvin Ailey Dance, plus a nighttime concert featuring Lucky Daye, Chrisette Michele, Wale and more. Concert tickets start at $75; all other events are free. Times vary, first event at 10am.
- Beer Olympics at SpindleTap Brewery – See who will be crowned the gold medalist while competing in various games, challenges and activities. $40 per team or $10 per person. 11am.
- The Big Show at Lawndale Art and Performance Center | FREE – Featuring only artists practicing within 100 miles of Lawndale, the Big Show returns to the Museum District, offering one of Houston’s signature art events of the year. 11am to 5pm.
- SummerFest & Artisan Market at B-52 Brewing | No Cover – Shop over 75 vendors and enjoy live music and food trucks at Conroe’s pet- and family-friendly event. Noon to 5pm.
- Stirred, Up & Boozy Cocktail Class at Blossom Hotel Houston – Kicking off the new Cocktail Mixer Series, this Father’s Day special will walk you through the classic, stirred up cocktails of prohibition, including Old Pals, Classic Manhattans, the Vieux Carré, and more. $50; includes three cocktails. 2pm.
- Soaked: Official Pride Houston Pool Party at Clé – Pride Houston 365 makes a splash with their vibe-filled pool party in Midtown, featuring multiple DJs on the decks, dancers, games and prizes, food and drink specials, and more. $25 in advance; $30 at the door. 2pm to 8pm.
- Inside the Movement at MATCH – Social Movement Contemporary Dance presents choreographed performances showcasing the diverse viewpoints and the artistic range of its choreographers and dancers. $18. 2:30pm.
- Humble Craft Brewers Fest at Humble SportsFlex | No Cover – The ultimate hoppy trifecta of local craft beer, live music and food trucks are just part of the fun at this summer brewers showcase. 3pm to 8pm.
- WBC Boxing: Jermall Charlo vs. Maciej Sulecki at Toyota Center – The WBC Middleweight World Championship is on the line when belt holder and Houston’s own Jermall Charlo faces challenger Maciej Sulecki in Downtown. $50 and up. 5pm.
- Pride Art Show 2022 at Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE – The near-Downtown art studio unveils its 2022 Pride Show which brings together members of all communities to use their art as a positive form of expression against discrimination and violence. 5pm to 9pm.
- Flea by Night at Discovery Green | No Cover – The destination market features an array of artful kitsch, vintage items, mid-century modern furniture, recycled and repurposed items and collectibles. 6pm to 10pm.
- Puro Desmadre: A Chicano Art Exhibit at Modern Art Gallery – Don your zoom suit if you’ve got one (en serio) for an evening celebrating Chicano culture and community in Downtown, complete with art installations, live DJ music by DJ Chicano Boulevard and DJ Kay Illah, lowrider cars, and more. Sounds by $25. 6pm to midnight.
- Road to River Revival Music Fest: The Texas Gentlemen, with Hector Ward & The Big Time at Market Square Park | FREE– The historic park space in the heart of Downtown hosts the genre-bending country brass of Texas Gentlemen, as well as Hector Ward’s eight-piece that grooves horns and guitar together. 6:30pm.
- Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes at Bayou Music Center – The former MADtv cast member known for her characters like Bon Qui Qui, and most recently seen in The Real Dirty Dancing on Fox, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes heads Downtown for a packed night of laughter. $39 and up. 7pm.
- WOMH Benefit Show Series at White Oak Music Hall – Hear icons of pop as played by local bands when they switch gears to perform as beloved groups like Incubus, the Beatles, Misfits, Journey, Pixies and more at this benefit show that raises money to provide mental health services for the Houston music and art scene. $10. 7pm.
- The Double life of Veronique Movie Screening at 14 Pews – Catch a screening of the beloved international film starring Irène Jacob at the Heights non-profit. $11. 7pm.
- Comedians Chad Kroeger & JT Parr at the Secret Group – With appearances on Howard Stern, Ellen and Hawaii Five-O, the comedic pair strives to bring awareness to significant current events and causes while keeping their audience laughing. $25. 8pm.
- Nick Cannon presents: MTV Wild N’ Out Live at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Catch the successful MTV series, Wild N’ Out, as it comes to life on the stage in the Woodlands. Along with an appearance from the show’s host, Nick Cannon, you can expect stand-up bits by the show’s cast, interactive game segments, and musical numbers. $29.50 and up. 8pm.
- David Lee Murphy, with Texas Hill at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – The “Dust on the Bottle” country artist arrives in Houston on the No Zip Code tour, joined by the Craig Wayne Boyd-led Texas Hill. 8:30pm.
- The Riot Comedy Show presents Cara Connors at Rudyard’s Pub – The Just For Laughs comedian brings her latest solo show, Straight for Pay, to the Montrose British pub’s upstairs stage for a late set on Saturday night. $12 and up. 11pm.

- Father’s Day Steak & Eggs at Monkey’s Tail – Treat Dad to Steak and Eggs at the Mexican American kitchen and dive, Monkey’s Tail, this Father’s Day. Patrons can enjoy a 14-ounce ribeye served with hollandaise, eggs and spicy chili potatoes, alongside drinks from beer buckets, beer pitchers and a variety of cocktails. $20 and up. 11am to 3pm.
- Drive Your Dreams Houston Car Show at NRG Arena – This one-day event brings together celebrity cars, exotics, old-school muscle, and more automobiles for a Father’s Day car show all afternoon. The family-friendly event will also feature amusement rides, carnival games, monster trucks and more. $40 and up. Noon to 5pm.
- Juneteenth: Celebration of Freedom in Historic Fifth Ward | No Cover – Celebrate Juneteenth with a bike ride around Houston’s historic Fifth Ward, plus get a chance to enjoy live music, food and local artisan vendors. $17.55 for the bike ride. Noon to 8pm.
- BLCK Market’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration at East River | FREE – Celebrate Juneteenth and shop for last-minute Father’s Day gifts from 100 Black small businesses and entrepreneurs when BLCK Market hosts their 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration, along with live music and food trucks. 1pm to 5pm.
- Man Cave Market at Railway Heights | No Cover – For the first time, the Washington Ave marketplace north of I-10 hosts a Man Cave Market, featuring unique trinkets, gadgets and gifts for dad, along with live music and food. 4pm to 9pm.
- Nothing More and Asking Alexandria in Concert at House of Blues – The San Antonio-based rock band brings the heat to Houston in support of their latest album, The Stories We Tell Ourselves. $39.50 and up. 5:45pm.
- Del Castillo in Concert at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – Known for their blends of rock, Latin, blues, and world music, rock out with award-winning Latin rock band Del Castillo when they visit Spring. $68 and up. 7pm.
- Léon in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The downstairs stage at White Oak welcomes Swedish pop singer Léon when she comes to town with songs from her latest release, Circles. $23 in advance; $25 day of show. 7pm.
- Houston Symphony presents The Music of Whitney Houston at Hobby Center – Rashidra Scott’s powerful vocals join the mix as the Houston Symphony performs some of the biggest hits of pop diva Whitney Houston’s storied career, including “Saving All My Love,” “How Will I Know?” and “I Will Always Love You.” $34 and up. 7:30pm.
- Comedian Bobcat Goldthwait at the Secret Group – For decades, the gruff-voiced comedian has made audiences laugh with roles in movies like Police Academy, as a director for Chapelle’s Show and Community, and in his stand-up specials. He’ll come to EaDo for one Sunday evening set. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 day of show. 8pm.
- Juneteenth: The Journey To Freedom at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – More than a dozen performers come together to tell the story of African Americans from 1865 to today and their journey to the celebration of freedom through dramatic visuals, live music, narration and dance. Free tickets can be reserved for covered seating; hill seating is open to the public. 8:30pm.
