Houston Restaurant Weeks continues to please palates and pockets across Houston, the sensational and popular UniverSoul Circus is playing at Butler Stadium and Miller Outdoor Theatre wraps up its Rock Docs series. There’s a whole lot more great stuff to do this weekend in Houston.

  • Ken Gaines in Concert at GreenStreet | FREE – Award-winning Texas singer-songwriter performs on the new Lawn at Downtown Houston’s GreenStreet. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Zoovie Night: The Sequel at Houston Zoo Cool Nights – Cover band Beetle plays the hits of the Fab Four, kids can participate in a Lady Bug Release, visit the Bug House and more. Stay for an outdoor screening of the classic film Back to the Future from 1985 (or is that 1955?) at 9pm. Activities 5pm to 8:30pm.
  • Cull by Monica Vidal Art Opening at University Museum at Texas Southern University | FREE– See Vidal’s newest largest scale installation/sculpture, along with her works Temple Hive and Falling Hive and sculptural maquettes and works on paper. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Under the Influence of Music Tour featuring Wiz Khalifa in The Woodlands – The Wiz leads an array of hip hop talent, including Jeezy, Tyga, Ty Dolla Sign, Sage the Gemini, Rich Homie Guan, Mack Wilds, IamSu and DJ Drama. You can likely find cheaper or better tickets on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 7pm.
  • Houston Dynamo vs. Philadelphia Union at BBVA Compass Stadium – The boys in orange battle the gray and gold. Tickets start at $22. You may find cheaper or better tickets on TicketNetwork’s resale market.  8pm.
  • Tootsie Movie Screening at Market Square Park | FREE– Catch the classic 1982 gender bending comedy about a down on his luck actor (Dustin Hoffman) who dons a curly red wig, sequined glasses and a dress to find sweeping success as soap opera actress in New York City. 8:15pm.
  • An Evening with Lowrider Band at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE– Catch a live performance of this classic rock musicians, responsible for hits like “Slippin’ into Darkness,” “Low Rider,” “9 to 5 (Ordinary Man),” “All Day Music” and “”Why Can’t We Be Friends?” 8:30pm.
