  • Miles for Meals 5k & 10k Fun Run at B-52 Brewing Co. | Virtual Option – Run in-person or virtually when B-52 Brewing in Conroe hosts a morning fun run through the surrounding neighborhoods. All participants will receive three free B-52 brews and a collectors’ pint glass, an event shirt, and a finisher’s medal. $45 for the 5k; $65 for the 10k; $35 for the virtual race. 8am to noon.
  • Hatha Yoga at Discovery Green | FREE – Try out a basic vinyasa yoga class to enhance your awareness and work towards a healthier body with host Andria Dugas at Discovery Green. 9am to 10am.
  • Farmers Market at Imperial Park Recreation Center in Sugar Land | No Cover – Grab food truck fare, freshly-harvested fruits and vegetables, baked goods and more from area farmers and artisans at this Sugar Land farmers market. 9am to 1pm.
  • Midtown Houston presents Virtual Family Capoeira | FREE | Virtual – Follow along with a virtual family Capoeira class, where you’ll learn about this unique Afro-Brazilian martial art that develops discipline, coordination, strength and rhythm. This class is open to families of all skill levels. 10am to 11am.
  • Art Outdoors: Garden Tours at Rienzi Gardens | FREE – Enjoy a self-paced garden tour of outdoor sculptures and architectural elements at the Museum of Fine Art’s house museum for European decorative arts. 10am to noon.
  • Acres Homes Farmers Market at The Christian Outreach Center | No Cover – On Little York Road in North Houston, this twice-monthly, family-oriented farmers market gathers vendors and small business owners to help provide access to fresh and healthy foods for the local Houston area. 10am to 1pm.
  • ACCH Makers Market at Amsterdam Co. Coffeehouse | No Cover – Stop through the Heights to witness maker demonstrations and shop handmade goods from local artisans including hand printed stationery, crochet sculptures, homemade candles, pottery and more at the newly opened Heights coffee shop. 10am to 3pm.
  • Earth Day Celebration at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | FREE – Celebrate Earth Day while exploring informative booths, nature hikes, fun displays, and participating in take-home activities during this all-ages event at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. 10am to 4pm.
  • 2021 Rail Day at Rosenberg Railroad Museum Check out engaging exhibits, model train displays, games, crafts, food vendors and more, at this family-friendly event for Rail enthusiasts. $8; free for ages 2 and under. 10am to 5pm.
  • Nature Walking Tour at The Water Works | FREE – Learn about the importance of prairies and their fragile ecosystem while on a walking tour in Buffalo Bayou Park’s The Water Works, which also highlights the landscape and ecology of 19th-century Texas that created Houston. 10:30am to noon.
  • Texas Trade Days at Kingwood Town Center | No Cover – Now in their third year, this Kingwood market gathers a variety of local small businesses, crafters, food vendors and more for visitors to browse while outdoors. 11am to 4pm.
  • Oysters are Back Event at City Acre Brewing Co. | No Cover – Shuck to your hearts content while getting your oyster fix in a variety of fashions including fried, BBQ’d, or in a po’boy when City Acre Brewing brings back oysters. 11am to 8pm.
  • Third Saturday at Silver Street Studios | No Cover – Every third Saturday of the month near Washington Avenue, Silver Street Studios opens up more than 60 artist studios to peruse and shop, including works in art, jewelry, photography, sculptures and glass. Noon to 5pm.
  • Family Magic & Comedy for All Ages with Carter Blackburn at Houston Improv – Enjoy a mystical afternoon that bridges comedy and magic with a family-friendly set from Carter Blackburn that features a mixture of audience participation, magic tricks, illusions, juggling, sleight of hand, and more at Houston Improv. $20 for two people; $40 for four; $60 for six. 2pm.
  • Stop, Look and Listen! with Will Cruz & Quattro in Concert at Menil Collection | FREE – Sway to the beautiful sounds of Will Cruz and Quattro when DaCamera and the Menil Collection presents a fusion of Puerto Rican cuatro guitar jazz with the syncopated rhythms of the Caribbean. 4pm.
  • Buffalo Bayou Partnership presents Line x Light x Color: Live Stream Dance Performance | FREE | Virtual – Log on to witness a site-specific dance performance from Laura Gutierrez, entitled Line x Light x Color, which was created in response to Buffalo Bayou Park’s closing exhibition, Estructuras Monumentales by Carmen Herrera. This event will be held online on Zoom. 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • Katy Sip ‘N Stroll at The Ark by Norris Event Center – Katy’s original wine, beer and food festival returns, featuring food samples from top Katy-area restaurants, over 100 wine selections, craft beer and select craft spirits, live music, and a vendor market. $65; VIP starts at $95. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Bayou City Funk at The Continental Club  Get down for a good time when this local outfit of veteran musicians brings the sound of funk, jazz and blues for a high energy outdoor show in Midtown. $10. 7pm.
  • Tequila & Wine Dinners at Alicia’s Mexican Grille in Sugar Land – Alicia’s wraps up their series of Tequila & Wine Dinners, featuring an Avocado Margarita and three courses including mixed greens with watermelon fig balsamic reduction, filet with porcini mushroom agave demi-glaze sauce, and mini banana crostata a la mode with tequila-infused cajeta. $75 per person (plus tax & gratuity). 7pm.
  • Houston SaberCats vs. LA Giltinis at Aveva Stadium – The SaberCats continue their fourth Major League Rugby season, hosting the LA Giltinis at Aveva Stadium in South Houston. $15; $8 for ages 8 to 15. 7pm.
  • Read Southall Band Concert at White Oak Music Hall Spread out on the lawn for an evening concert when Oklahoma rock group, Read Southall Band, perform live during an outdoor, all-ages event at White Oak Music Hall in the Heights. $120 for a pod of up to six people. 8pm.

  • Eat Up Houston by HTX Market in Northside | No Cover – At this bi-weekly food-forward market, visitors can explore artisan booths and grab bites from some of Houston’s tastiest food vendors, including Muiishi’s, Acai Brasil, Cassava Kitchen, and Bovine & Barley. 11am to 4pm.
  • Brunch on the Plaza at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum Brunch outdoors during an afternoon of art, mimosas, live music and, of course, a tasty brunch menu, when the Center for African American Military History hosts the tasty occasion at the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum. $50 per person. 11am to 2pm.
  • Oxtailapalooza at Scholars & Scoundrels – In celebration of the Year of the Ox, Katy restaurants have teamed up for Oxtailpalooza, where this week will feature braised osso bucco-style oxtail over saffron risotto at Scholars & Scoundrels, helping to raise money for local nonprofit, The Ballard House. Menu prices vary. 11am to 10pm.
  • International Kids Fest 2021 at Traders Village | FREE – Enjoy an afternoon of exciting games and activities, interactive shows, live music, acrobats, magicians, clowns, face painters and more, when Traders Village near Beltway 8 and Highway 290, hosts International Kids Fest. Though free, parking is $5. Noon to 4pm.
  • Earth Day at Discovery Green | FREE – Commemorate Earth Day with a celebration in the heart of Downtown when Discovery Green Park hosts a screening of short films about Houston’s environment, a panel discussion examining the freeze of February 2021, and live painting as local artists complete murals throughout the park. Noon to 5pm.
  • Crawfish Sunday at Southern Star Brewery Get your mudbug fix during an afternoon filled with cold local suds and tasty crawfish when Southern Star Brewery in Conroe offers 3lbs of crawfish, with sides, for $25. Noon to 6pm.
  • Sixties Sunday Brunch at Red Dwarf HTX | No Cover – Start your Sunday right while brunching at a ’60s-themed afternoon filled with mimosas, ’60s music from live DJs, and local vendors selling vintage clothing and more at Red Dwarf HTX in Midtown. Food and drinks are on you. 1pm.
  • Underbelly Hospitality presents Pickles, Preserves, & Sauces: A Virtual Cooking Series | Virtual – Learn how to prepare homemade pickles, sauces, and preserves when Chef Lucas McKinney of Hay Merchant performs a demonstration during a virtual class. $45; includes all the necessary ingredients, supplies, and recipes. 1pm to 3pm.
  • MFAH presents Bayou Bend Virtual Family Day: Water on Zoom | FREE | Virtual – Explore the role that water plays in America’s history and the lives of its residents when the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents Bayou Bend’s Virtual Family Day on Zoom. Registration is required. 2pm to 3pm.
  • Puranik Foundation’s Earth Day: I am Greta Documentary Virtual Screening | FREE – Commemorate Earth Day with a free screening of the 2020 documentary, I Am Greta, a Hulu original about the teenage climate activist from Sweden, Greta Thunberg when the Puranik Foundation presents a screening on Discord as well as a discussion about the movie in the chat. A game of Kahoot will follow the film and the top three winners will receive a Spade to Fork at home garden starter kit; first place will also receive a $25 Uber Eats gift card.   • Genevieve Allen in Concert at The Rustic Downtown | No Cover – Close out your Sunday with the singer-songwriter tunes of Gulf Coast country singer Genevieve Allen, when they take to the stage at The Rustic in Downtown. 4pm to 6pm.
  • Jeff Canada in Concert at Dosey Doe: The Big Barn Tap your toes to the two-step tunes of Texas singer-songwriter Jeff Canada, when he hits the stage at Dosey Doe: The Big Barn in The Woodlands. $10 to $15. 7pm.
  • MyOhMy Drag Show at Warehouse Live Welcome back Texas’ biggest touring drag show during a night of elaborate costumes, great music, and fantastic performers at the EaDo venue. $5 general admission; $15 table seating; check for discounted tickets. 7:30pm.
