- Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna at Sam Houston Race Park | Daily – Head under the fanciful Grand Chapiteu tent erected especially for Cirque du Soleil for a fanciful story and stunning gymnastic performance based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. - Sesame Street Live! Let’s Dance at NRG Arena | Daily – See your favorite Sesame Street characters, live and in the felt, at this interactive show that asks the kiddos to get up and dance along. You may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. Times vary.
- Menopause The Musical at Cullen Performance Hall | Thursday to Saturday – See this hilarious musical following four women who are dealing with hot flashes and mood swings. $39 to $49; limited discounted $29 tickets available. 7:30pm nightly.
- Tapas on the Trails at the Houston Arboretum | Friday and Saturday – Enjoy a five-course tapas dinner with wine pairings at the Houston Arboretum’s annual Tapas on the Trails event. $85; $75 members. 6pm to 10pm Friday; 5pm to 9pm Saturday.
- Mardi Gras in Galveston | Friday to Sunday – Laissez les bon temps roulez at the annual Mardi Gras celebration going on through February 17 in Galveston. Enjoy parades, tons of live music from stars like Danielle Bradbery, bead throwing, parties and Cajun food. Prices and times vary.
- The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] in the Heights | Friday to Sunday – See bits and pieces of Shakespeare’s 37 plays performed by three actors in just two hours. $18; limited discounted $9 tickets available. 8pm Friday and Saturday; 2pm Sunday.

- Moulin Rouge Sing-Along at Alamo Drafthouse Mason Park – Compete in a cancan dance contest and sing along to your favorite Moulin Rouge songs at this karaoke style movie screening. $12. 7:30pm.
