- Southern Smoke at Underbelly | Sunday, November 6 – Chris Shepherd is bringing back the Southern Smoke fundraiser for a second year. Raise money for the MS Society by dining on delicious chef-crafted food at this street festival.
- Political Cards Against Humanity at Hotel Derek | Monday, November 7 – Play a hilariously inappropriate round of politically-themed Cards Against Humanity at Hotel Derek in anticipation of election day.
- Adele in Concert at Toyota Center | Tuesday, November 8 and Wednesday, November 9 – You have two chances to see Adele perform hits from her latest album 25 when her tour comes through Houston for back-to-back performances at the Toyota Center.
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Zilkha Hall | Wednesday, November 9 to Sunday, November 20 – Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) presents the original stage version of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show, the musical that inspired the iconic 1974 film on stage in Zilkha Hall. Tickets range from $39 to $89, not including ticket fees. Times vary daily.
- Nutcracker Market at NRG Center | Thursday, November 10 to Sunday, November 13 – Shop till you drop during this annual market hosted by the Houston Ballet. With everything from specialty foods, decor, vintage goods, gifts, clothing, and jewelry, you’ll find something for everyone on your list.
- Houston Cinema Arts Festival at Venues Around Houston | Thursday, November 10 to Thursday, November 17 – The Houston Cinema Arts Festival brings more than 50 films along with filmmakers and directors to Houston for a week of screenings and discussions at venues like Sundance Cinemas, MFAH, Project Row Houses, the Menil and more.
- Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs at Toyota Center | Saturday, November 12 – Cheer loud for the Rockets when they hit the court to play the Spurs in this Western Conference showdown at Toyota Center. Tickets start at $20, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
- Cruz Azul vs. Pumas UNAM at BBVA Compass Stadium | Sunday, November 13 – Get your tickets to watch Cruz Azul and Pumas UNAM – two of Mexico’s largest soccer clubs – go head-to-head in this friendly match-up at BBVA Compass Stadium.
- Winter Holiday Art Market at Winter Street Studios | Friday, November 18 to Sunday, November 20 – Shop creations from more than 90 local artists all in one place at Fresh Arts’ annual Winter Holiday Art Market. WHAM will feature an open bar, artist demonstrations, cookie decorating, a photo booth and more.
- Space: The Final Playground Concert at the Church of St. John the Divine | Saturday, November 19 – Enjoy the Texas premiere of Michael Gilbertson’s Cosmos – a piece for wind quintet and orchestra commissioned by ROCO – that’s sure to be out of this world.
- Houston Barbecue Throwdown at Saint Arnold Brewery | Sunday, November 20 – Sample as much ‘cue as you can handle while local restaurants compete to see whose BBQ dish is the best. A panel of judges will crown a winner, but you’ll have a say in who wins people’s choice.
- Houston Texans vs San Diego Chargers at NRG Stadium | Sunday, November 27 – Get your Texans fix during the team’s only home game this month. They’ll take on Philip Rivers and the Chargers at NRG.
