See silhouetted photographs that carry big concepts at HCP’s, The Surface of Things exhibition on view through Sunday, January 15, 2017.
The Surface of Things brings together a diverse group of contemporary artists who use the photogram, an image made without a camera with light sensitive paper (or other material), to pursue environment, aesthetic, and philosophical questions.
The works in the exhibition examine how objects carry meaning, culture, politics, and how these objects can become metaphors with a greater significance.
