    Shop one-of-a-kind goods, plants, artwork and much more at 25+ pop-up markets happening across Greater Houston in spring 2024.

    Every week, Houston is home to a slate of bustling markets that connect Houstonians to local artisans, farmers and vendors, offering everyone a chance to shop local and support small businesses in H-Town.

    We’ve gathered more than 25 markets happening all spring long and across the city where you can shop plants, handcrafted goods, vintage and more.

    Spring Markets in March 2024

    • Spring Plant Sale at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Friday, March 22 & Saturday, March 23 | No Cover – A variety of Texas natives will be featured, including perennial and annual wildflowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees—perfect for attracting butterflies, bees, and other pollinators to your yard or garden while helping to conserve water, reduce mowing, protect the soil, and save money on fertilizer and pesticides. Plants are $4.50 and up. 9am to 2pm.
    • Tomball German Heritage Festival in Old Town Tomball | Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24 | FREE – Tomball’s annual German Fest fills the streets with more than 200 vendors rocking antiques, arts and crafts, and more; plus cultural music, street performances, a Heritage Center, and tasty German fare, festival eats, and beer and wine. The weekend-long event is family-friendly and free to attend, with free parking and a shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday. Times vary.
    • 20th Anniversary Celebration at Urban Harvest Farmers Market | Saturday, March 23 | FREE – The city’s popular farmer’s market celebrates 20 years a fest filled with family-friendly activities, like face painting, caricatures, plant giveaways, and a chef demo by James Beard Award-winning Chef Benchawan “G” Jabthong Painter of Street to Kitchen. 9am to 11am.
    • Frida Love Market at The Esplanade at Navigation | Saturday, March 23 | FREE – The East End esplanade hosts another edition of this Frida-themed marketplace with live performances, giveaways and local vendors doling out crafts and goodies that honor Mexico’s beloved artist. Costumes and Frida attire are encouraged. 11am to 4pm.
    • Thorn & Moon’s Spring Equinox Festival at St. Arnold Brewery | Saturday, March 23 | FREE – Celebrate the springtime with dozens of local vendors doling out goods and wares in the strange and occult, along with tarot readings and delicious food and brews from St. Arnold’s. 6pm to 11pm.
    • Bayou City Art Festival in Downtown Houston | Saturday, March 23 & Sunday, March 24 – Houston’s iconic art festival returns this spring with artwork from more than 250 artists across 19 different categories, all on display for festival goers to browse and take home. The weekend festival will also showcase two entertainment stages, a food truck park, culinary stages, beverage stations and more. $18; free for ages 12 and under. 10am to 6pm.

    • Ghibli Fest Art Market at Karbach Brewing Co. | Saturday, March 23 & Sunday, March 24 | No Cover – More than 30 artists unveil their creations inspired by every Miyazaki film, from the magical world of Spirited Away to the whimsical adventures of My Neighbor Totoro. It’s a chance to see unique works and talk with the artists who created them. Saturday 11am to 8pm; Sunday 11am to 6pm.
    • Bark in the Park & Open Air Market at Evelyn’s Park | Sunday, March 24 | FREE – For this one day of the year, dogs are welcome at Evelyn’s Park. Expect cool dog vendors and rescue organizations that you and your furry friend will love. There’s an artisan market, and Los Tios will have a pop up. Stick around for the “Canine Catwalk” at 2pm, with prizes handed out to best strutting mutt. Noon to 4pm.
    • Super Happy Toy Show & Art Market at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Sunday, March 24 | FREE – This all-ages event at Saint A’s offers a chance to browse and take home vintage and collectible toys and artwork, while getting to also celebrate Easter a little early. Enjoy a special Easter egg hunt and be ready to snap a photo with the visiting Bunny. Noon to 6pm.
    • Heavy Metal Market & Oddities at Brash Brewing Company | Sunday, March 24 | No Cover – Come together to shop merch, records and more at this heavy metal vendor showcase held at the unapologetic brewery near Garden Oaks. 1pm to 7pm.
    • Farmers Market at Market Square Park | Saturday, March 30 | Ongoing | FREE – Held every Saturday through May, this throwback market returns after a successful fall run at historic Market Square Park in Downtown. Calling back to the early markets of newly established Houston, this farmers market pop-up provides fresh produce plus live entertainment and more every weekend. 10am to 2pm.
    • Houston Plant Market at Houston Botanic Garden | Saturday, March 30 – The South Houston gardens hosts a plant market with a wide variety of local plant, craft, art and food vendors alongside educational plant workshops and yoga sessions (additional fee required). Included with general admission, $15; $10 for ages 3 to 15. 10am to 3pm.
    • Easter Egg Market at 8th Wonder Brewery | Saturday, March 30 & Easter Sunday, March 31 | FREE – In EaDo, 8th Wonder hosts a weekend of Easter fun with a pop-up market filled with local businesses, plus a Sunday Easter Egg Hunt (1pm, 3pm and 5pm). Swing by to shop everything from Easter cookies to planters and more, plus enjoy tunes from live DJs. Noon to 8pm.

    Spring Markets in April 2024

    • The City Market at Post Houston | Friday, April 5 & Saturday, April 6 – This third annual event heads to Downtown, offering the chance to shop one-of-a-kind gifts and goodies, including perfect items for spring, graduation and more. The two-day event features more than 80 vendors and special admission to a kick-off brunch, sip ‘n’ shop happy hour, and biscuits and bubbles on Saturday morning. Admission to the market is free; special events start at $25. Saturday 10am to 8:30pm; Sunday 10am to 4pm.
    • FoodieLand Night Market at NRG Park | Friday, April 5 to Sunday, April 7 – This three-day fest takes over NRG, offering the chance to experience food and flavors from across a diverse array of cuisines. Guests can also shop a local marketplace, play games and take in live performances while getting their fill on delicious samples. $6. 3pm to 10pm.
    • Amigas 4Ever & Ever at the Esplanade at Navigation | Saturday, April 6 | FREE – Celebrate your best gal pals with this annual fest in East End with pop-up vendors, sets from DJ Rosez and DJ GoodFat, flash tattoos, jewelry for the first 100 guests, complimentary drinks, and more. 10am to 3pm.
    • Galveston Steampunk Festival at Galveston Railroad Museum | Saturday, April 6 – Fans of the steampunk aesthetic will assemble for this three-day fest celebrating the sci-fi subgenre that crosses Victorian-era tech with retrofuturism. Throughout Saturday, fans can take in live music and special performances, shop from more than 45 local vendors, participate in a costume contest and enjoy games like archery, axe throwing and more. $25 and up; $15 for kids. 11am to 11pm.
    • Spring Local & Indie Author Fair at Copperfield’s Books | Saturday, April 6 & Sunday, April 7 | FREE – Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Spring book shop with a two-day author fair, featuring more than 50 local and indie authors catering to all age groups and genre. Plus, enjoy free refreshments, giveaways and raffle prizes. 10am to 5pm.
    • The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival in Town Green Park | Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14 – A certain marker that spring has arrived, the 19th Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival brings more than 200 accomplished artists out to the Waterway shores and surroundings with live music, entertainment, and food and drink. $18; free for ages 12 and under. Times vary.

    • Festival of Eid 2024 at Asia Society Texas Center | Saturday, April 13 | FREE – Mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan at this Asia Society festival that features outdoor food trucks and delicious eats, as well as craft activities, henna designs, musical performances and an indoor bazaar where you can shop local artists and small businesses. Pre-registration is required. Free to attend; $10 for ticketed performances. Noon to 4pm.
    • The Market at Sawyer Yards | Saturday, April 13 | FREE – Local vendors and artists make their second-to-last pop-up market at Art Alley on the Sawyer Yards campus. Second Saturday Open Studios, inside the Sawyer Yards warehouses, also coincides with the event. 11am to 5pm.
    • Midtown Art in the Park at Midtown Park | Saturday, April 20 | FREE – Stop by Midtown Houston for back-to-back days of art celebration at this family-friendly event with local vendors, performers, and limited ArtJam activities where you’ll craft some take-home keepsakes. This year’s theme celebrates National Jazz Month and the 125th anniversary of Duke Ellington’s birth. 10am to 4pm.
    • Puranava Indian Art & Culture Fest at Pearland Town Center | Saturday, April 20 | FREE – Celebrate Indian culture with an afternoon of arts performances, art exhibits, hands-on activities, a bazaar with food and local vendors, plus youth competitions in chess, art, trivia and more. 4pm to 8pm.
    • 19th Annual Frida Festival at The Storyhive | Saturday, April 27 | FREE – Celebrate all things Frida Kahlo at an East End festival featuring lively music, performances, vendors, food trucks, and plenty of people dressed up as one of Mexico’s most beloved and legendary artists. 11am to 7pm.
    • Sugar Land Arts Fest 2024 at Smart Financial Centre Plaza | Saturday, April 27 & Sunday, April 28 – This two-day arts festival showcases more than 1,000 visual artists from across the country, plus you can enjoy live music, food, wine and more. Single day tickets are $10; $18 for both days. 10am to 4pm.

    Spring Markets in May 2024

    • East End Street Fest at the Esplanade on Navigation | Saturday, May 4 | FREE – Held during Cinco de Mayo week, this festival celebrates the art, music and heritage of East End with dance performances, live bands, artwork, a market and plenty of fun for kids at the Plaza de los Niños. Noon to 7pm.
    • Pushing Up Daisies Market at the National Museum of Funeral History | Friday, May 10 – The Houston museum for all things funerary hosts a special market with unique vendors, plus drinks and cocktails, light bites and bonus swag with a VIP admission. $20 and up. 7pm to 10pm.
    • The Market at Sawyer Yards | Saturday, May 11 | FREE – Join dozens of local vendors and Houston artists to celebrate the 8th anniversary of this affordable folk art-centric Arts District marketplace, which also marks its final pop-up appearance. Come by one last time to spend an afternoon with local artists, learn about their work and add a new piece to your collection. Second Saturday Open Studios, inside the Sawyer Yards warehouses, also coincides with the event. 11am to 5pm.
    • Comicpalooza at George R. Brown Convention Center | Friday, May 24 to Sunday, May 26 – Get decked out in your favorite hero costume and head Downtown for a weekend of cosplay, autographs, and all-things-comics. Enjoy family-friendly activities, listen in on live panel discussions, shop from local creators, browse pop culture memorabilia, and much more. Single day passes range from $43 to $64, depending on day; weekend passes start at $90. Times vary.
    • Farmers Market at Market Square Park | Through Saturday, May 25 | FREE – Held every Saturday through spring, this throwback market returns after a successful fall run at historic Market Square Park in Downtown. Calling back to the early markets of newly established Houston, this farmers market provides fresh produce plus live entertainment and more every weekend. 10am to 2pm.
