Learn to love your liver at The Social Silence event, featuring live street art painting, food trucks, and more at The Health Museum on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
Renowned for his original street artwork in Downtown and throughout the city, Houston artist Gonzo247 has teamed up with The Health Museum to help raise awareness about Hepatitis C, often known as Hep C.
Attacking the liver, the disease is silent and can be deadly. Sign up to join Gonzo as he demonstrates how to create your own original street art canvas. Seating is limited, so check the schedule at Gonzo’s booth for more information.
Outdoor Art Walk
Gonzo247 and other street artists will be showcasing original works of art in front of the museum, in order to raise awareness about Hep C. Visitors of all ages can vote on their favorite creations of these original works of art.
In addition to the street art creations, visitors will find popular Houston food trucks serving up tasty bites, live radio broadcasts from BOOM 92 and plenty of great people watching.
Love Your Liver
Inside the museum, visitors can enjoy a number of special family-friendly activities, including a kids’ CSI-inspired activity, resources from the American Liver Foundation, Linkage to Health, St Luke’s Health and The City of Houston Department of Health as well as organ analysis and informative demos.
