Raise your glass to a cozy Montrose mainstay known for its burgers, bites, and pints at Rudyard’s British Pub.
Affectionately thought of as “the living room of Montrose”, the popular pub has been serving Houstonians for more than four decades since opening its doors in 1978.
Located on Waugh Drive between Welch and Indiana Street, the laid-back local hub is famous for its classic pub grub, an impressive imported and local beer selection, and its packed local monthly events and live shows.
The Fare
If you show up hungry or work up an appetite after throwing back a few pints, be sure to try the bar’s namesake Rudz Burger or the tasty Fish & Chips.
Need a good appetizer? Either will go great with a side of Nuts & Bolts −the bar’s popular deep-fried sampler plate which comes served with marinara and features a choice of four items including, cheese, okra, Portobello mushroom strips, zucchini, pickles, onion rings, and jalapenos.
Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Click here for a full menu or to see what’s on tap at the bar.
Entertainment
For those with a bit of a competitive streak, the bar has all your dart, pool, and shuffleboard table needs covered. Just be sure to bring your A-game.
If you’re looking for an entertaining night out on the town, in addition to concerts, the bar’s second floor also plays host to local performance group, BooTown’s hilarious monthly Grown-up Storytime −every third Tuesday of the month.
