Score Chef Kevin Naderi’s famous fried cauliflower for just $4 in celebration of Roost’s fourth anniversary from Saturday, December 12 to Saturday, December 19, 2015.

Roost – a cozy 50-seat restaurant on the corner of Hazard and Fairview in Montrose – will celebrate its fourth anniversary on Saturday, December 12.

To thank Houstonians for their loyal patronage, chef Kevin Naderi is offering his famous fried cauliflower dish, regularly $9, for just $4 during the week following the restaurant’s anniversary.

The fried cauliflower with a twist was originally served as a daily special, but quickly evolved into a favorite among diners. With requests coming to the kitchen so frequently, the popular starter has become a staple on the otherwise revolving menu of farm fresh fare at Roost.

Flash fried and then roasted, the large helping of cauliflower is tossed in miso dressing, pine nuts and scallion before being topped with bonito flakes that come alive (really, they “dance” from the steam of the cauliflower).

Get it cheap while you can.
