See the musical Rent at the Hobby Center on Friday, September 18 and Saturday, September 19, 2015.
The hit Broadway musical Rent is coming to the Hobby Center for three performances over two nights. The musical – which was also made into a film in 2005 – follows a group of struggling artists, some dealing with HIV/AIDS, living in a poverty-stricken area of New York City.
Viewers will recognize songs like “No Day Like Today,” “Seasons of Love,” “I’ll Cover You” and “La Vie Boheme” during this production from Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS).
This performance is part of the TUTS Summer Conservatory Program at the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre. The program brings students ages 13 to 18 together for a fully staged production once a year.
