Party like it’s 1877 at the Plankowners’ Sailabration and sail Gulf waters aboard the Tall Ship Elissa at Texas Seaport Museum on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

The annual Plankowners’ Sailabration gets underway this April, offering a night of heavy hors-d’oeuvres, live music from Harbors Over Highways, auctions, and more while raising money for the ongoing renovations and maintenance of the Official Tall Ship of Texas, the 1877 Elissa.

Along with a night of seaworthy celebration, the Elissa is also allowing for a limited number of sail training students to hit the seas aboard the 19th century vessel for an afternoon of education and adventure during select dates in early April.

Plankowners’ Sailabration

With live music and delectable morsels that include Hawaiian chicken skewers, shrimp cakes, and veggie antipasto kabobs, the 2019 Plankowners’ Sailabration honors the Tall Ship Elissa by donating all proceeds from the event to supporting preservation of the ship as well as the many educational and training programs of the Texas Seaport Museum.

Guests will also have an opportunity to join the Plankowners’ II Syndicate by generously purchasing a “plank” of the Elissa, thereby ensuring ongoing financial support for the Tall Ship and neighboring museum. Donations are honored by an inscribed plank on display at the Texas Seaport Museum.

Tickets for the event are $100 and also includes a selection of craft beer and wine beverages.
