- Houston to Galveston Bike Ride with Critical Mass | FREE – Set your alarm clock early and bike from Market Square Park to Galveston Island with Critical Mass. 6am.
- Run Houston! Minute Maid Park – Race to the finish line of a 5k or 10k around Minute Maid Park as part of the Run Houston! race series. $40 5k; $50 10k; $30 kids 1k. 7am.
- Blissful Warrior Yoga | Free – Roll out your yoga mat at Discovery Green for this free yoga class that incorporates techniques found in tai chi and kung fu. 9am to 10am.
- Airing of the Quilts in La Porte | Free – Head over to La Porte by the Bay to see the city’s historic Main Street blanketed with quilt displays and antique and artisan vendors. 9am to 5pm.
- Looking Back Boat Tour at Sabine Promenade – Get a glimpse into Houston’s history during a boat ride along Buffalo Bayou. Local historian Louis Aulbach will serve as the tour guide. $40. 10am to 11:30am.
- City-Wide Block Party at the Houston Food Park | FREE – Join the Houston Zoo for a block party celebrating the return of gorillas to the Zoo. Food will be available for purchase from trucks and attendees are encouraged to recycle an old cell phone as part of their Action for Apes campaign. 1pm to 4pm.
- Around the World in Pinot Noir at Camerata at Paulie’s – Taste a variety of pinot noirs from around the world at Paul Petronella’s Camerata. $60 per person. 2pm to 4pm.
- Pints for Pups at J. Black’s – Hang with adoptable pups while enjoying live music and local brews during the Pints for Pups fundraiser at J. Black’s. $10 donation gets you a pint glass and a pour of Saint Arnold. 2pm to 4pm.
- A Celebr8tion of Beer at 8th Wonder Brewery – 8th Wonder Brewery is celebrating their second anniversary with a night of music headlined by The Suffers and lots of beer including a special release for the celebr8tion. $35; $125 VIP. 3pm.

- Cooking Demonstration from Virginia Willis at Central Market – Learn a tip or two from culinary instructor, television personality and cookbook author Virginia Willis as she shares recipes from her latest cookbook Lighten Up, Y’all, during a class at Central Market. This annual all-ages Indian festival, which attracts thousands of people from all backgrounds, comes complete with color-drenching cannons, Bollywood dancing, DJ dance parties, delicious Indian food, a market and more. $5 cash at the gate; free for ages 10 and under. Noon to 5pm.
- Crawfish Boil at Radical Eats – Devour mud bugs and wash ‘em down with Lonestar during Radical Eats’ crawfish boil. $15 gets you a pound of crawfish and two beer tickets. 3pm to 8pm.
