Kick off Pearland’s annual, family-friendly celebration of Holi—the festival of spring and also known as the “world’s craziest festival”—with a colorful race or walk before launching into a day of music, dance, and revelry on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
New for 2024, the Pearland Holi Extravaganza has added the Holi Color Run 5K, where participants will get doused with colorful powders, to begin the celebration. Non-runners and walkers can also opt for a 3K “shortcut route” while still getting the complete and colorful Holi experience.
Following the run, a full day of free-for-everyone festivities await, including a large interactive group dance of colors, live music, DJ sets, Bollywood dance performances, kids activities, interactive games led by the emcees, and more. Musical performances will showcase Bollywood, Latin, Polynesian, and rock music, along with DJ tunes and a dholi drumming along to the beat.
All ages are welcome to play in a color zone next to the main festivities throughout the day for $7, which includes two packets of colored powders.
The Pearland Holi Extravaganza & Color Run 5K is organized completely by Greater Businesses of Pearland and Visit Pearland. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Landing and Mady’s Movement, two local nonprofit organizations assisting victims of human trafficking.
