Stroll aisle after aisle of booths showcasing handcrafted pieces and custom goods by artists from around greater Houston, during a weekend of rocking live music and mouthwatering food, at Pearland Art & Crafts on the Pavilion, this Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, 2016.

Presented by the Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau, this free two-day juried art show and shopping experience at Pearland Town Center offers visitors the chance to shop for unique art and handcrafted pieces created by respected local artists and artisans.

Artisans & Art Groups

Featuring handcrafted art and custom goods by some of the finest artisans in Greater Houston, the 2-day event strives to showcase the talented artists, artisans, and art groups from around the area.

Artisans participating in the fall festivities include popular jewelers like Tomboy Pretty Jewelry, whose mix of semiprecious stones, pearl pendants, glass bead jewelry and more, use classic elements of jewelry design with a modern interpretation. If you’re on hunt for sculptures or functional pieces, the upcycled one-of-a-kind art pieces made from ordinary cans by The Tin Armadillo are a must-see.

For those looking to get involved in the arts, Pearland Arts League (PAL) will be spreading local love all weekend with works on display and a variety of pieces for sale by members. Stop and chat to learn more about how PAL are striving to make art in Pearland more widely available and how you can too.

Food & Drink

In addition to the extraordinary shopping, visitors can enjoy appetizing local bites at the Food Truck Court, sip wine in the newly debuted Wine Bistro, and take in live music, while getting a jump on holiday shopping with an amazing selection of quality pieces by locally curated artists. Shop Art & Handcrafted Pieces

Hailing from Pearland and across greater Houston, area artists will be out in full force to sell and discuss their work with attendees this weekend.

Located near the intersection of Highway 288 and Broadway/FM 518, the Pearland Town Center is the perfect backdrop for this eclectic mix of artists and entertainment who have already developed a following across the region.

Just a few of the participating artists and artisans include Moon’s Ceramics, Stateline Designs, The Tin Armadillo, May-n-Ais, Tomboy Pretty Jewelry, Blue Face Monkey, Dragonfly Arts, Pearland Arts League and many more.

Interactive Art Activities

A new addition to this year’s event includes the Pop-Up Paint Studio presented by Pearland’s own Art & Kustom Kreations. Visitors can enjoy paint instruction sessions for a separate ticket admission with two, 30-minute “Under the Sea” sessions offered on Saturday geared to children ages 5 to 10 years old for $15. Adults can choose from a 1-hour “Lovely Landscape” session this Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon priced at $25. Click here for advance registrations.

Kids will also have the chance to create their own take-home art projects at the Kid’s Interactive Art Station presented by Keep Pearland Beautiful and the Global Organization for Divinity which will be open daily from 11am to 4pm.

Appetizing Local Fare

Another addition to this year’s two-day event, the Wine Bistro featuring Pearland’s Dionisio Winery will be open from noon to 5pm both days offering attendees an opportunity to purchase wine by the glass.

Food trucks will swoop in to create Pearland’s own Food Truck Court throughout both days this weekend, featuring mouth-watering menus from area local favorites including D’Lish Curbside Bistro, Nom Mi Street, and Space City Spudz.

Live Music

If the shopping, food, and drinks haven’t satisfied all five of your senses, fret not. Visitors will have plenty of live music to treat their ears to over the weekend with tunes from the likes of family-friendly father-son group Courageous Band and some of their friends as featured guests this Saturday.

On Sunday, an acoustic set by the 4 Barrel Ramblers kicks things off before Pearland’s own Modulation Band takes the stage for a jazz-infused set filled with favorites from the past 60 years.
