The Paint Pals program, from Galveston Historical Foundation and with support from the Moody Methodist Permanent Endowment Fund, offers homeowners a range of assistance options to help apply an exterior, protective coat of paint to their historical home on Galveston Island.
Paint Pals helps homeowners to improve their house by supplying them with everything needed for their paint project. Primarily focused on assisting low-income homeowners, Paint Pals is now expanding their program to assist moderate-income and open income applicants.

Paint Pals Requirements
Before you submit an application, check over the listed requirements to make sure Paint Pals can assist you.
Successful applicants will need to provide proof of income for all persons of legal age that are employed and reside at the property, as well as proof of ownership with a Homestead Exemption.
The property itself must be located on Galveston Island and be at least fifty years old. The house must be one floor in height (with some exceptions to raised foundations), cannot have vinyl, tiling, or other materials covering the wood siding, and must not have any asbestos material on site whatsoever.
