Say hello to spring with live theater, dance and music in the great outdoors with 2 live shows over 2 nights, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Voces y Recuerdos, at Miller Outdoor Theatre on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29, 2025.

To launch its 102nd season, Miller Outdoor Theatre presents a lively celebration of dance and music, both produced by popular organizations.

They’ll be the first of the series of live shows and performances that will be staged weekly at the theater inside Hermann Park, from now into the fall.

And, as always, all shows and performances at Miller Outdoor Theatre are completely free.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz | Friday, March 28, 2025

Open Dance Project presents a dance theater adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s classic 1900 novel, featuring Dorothy Gale and her rag tag group of friends, the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Cowardly Lion.

But this original production features a fun and whimsical soundtrack—mixing contemporary, classical and rock music—paired with Open Dance Project’s signature athleticism, theatrical antics, aerial silks, acrobatics, moments of ASL, and more.

The performance starts at 8pm.

Voces y Recuerdos | Saturday, March 29, 2025

Noche Tejana presents a live concert event celebrating remarkable women of Tejano and Latin music.

Six-time Grammy-nominated Stefani Montiel headlines the show accompanied by a full band, performing a program of classic Tejano songs.

A recipient of TMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year and Female Entertainer of the Year awards, Montiel is celebrated for her fusion of various genres into her unique Tejano sound.

Also gracing the stage will be Monica Trevino, Destiny y Los Navaira, Magali Delarosa, Carolyn Rodriguez, and Beatriz Gonzalez delivering unforgettable performances that honor the legacy and evolution of Tejano music.

The concert starts at 7:30pm.

Finding Your Seat at Miller Outdoor Theatre

There are two types of seating at Miller Outdoor Theatre—covered seating and hillside seating.

All seating is free, but covered seating for popular shows usually requires an assigned ticket reserved in advance. 

You can get your free tickets online one day prior to the performance date, beginning at 10am, until noon on the day of the performance.
