Strap on your Lederhosen and toast your favorite brews at one (or more) of our 40+ picks for Oktoberfest celebrations, taking place around Houston from Saturday, September 14 through Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Around Houston and beyond, brewery taps are again flowing with beer and the beginning of fall brings back the annual tradition of Oktoberfest to beloved taprooms in the city.

This season, you can expect a ton of festive competitions, best dressed contests, delicious German dishes, special brew releases, and much more.

Weekend of Friday, September 13, 2024

  • Fass Stein Hoist Shakedown at Fass Brewing | Saturday, September 14 | No Cover – The Conroe brewing launches into Oktoberfest season with a practice run for the big Oktoberfest celebration on the first weekend of October. The day also marks the return of Fass Lager, the brewery’s Munich-style helles which will be available by the liter all day. 2pm.
  • Trucktoberfest at Truck Yard | Saturday, September 14 | No Cover – Raise a stein and kick off Oktoberfest season with a full day of live German music, wiener dog races, a chicken dance, stein-hosting and pretzel eating contests, German food, and more. family friendly during the day. 2pm to 1am.
  • Oktoberfest 5k Pub Run/Walk in Montrose | Sunday, September 15 | No Cover – Traverse Montrose with pitstops at The Phoenix on Westheimer, Lizzard’s Pub, Velvet Oak Tavern, and West Alabama Ice House and get your card punched with a beer at each stop in order to join the stein hoisting competition at The Phoenix at 4:30pm. 1pm to 5pm.

  • Oktoberfest Kickoff Celebration at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Friday, September 20 | No Cover – Texas’ OG craft brewery launches its Oktoberfest season by tapping the first cask of Oktoberfest beer and German-style hefeweizen, with music from Houston Brass Band, German food, and more. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Karbachtoberfest Week 1 at Karbach Brewing Company | Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22 | No Cover – The Spring Branch brewery kicks off their three-week celebration with Friday night music oompah band music; a Saturday of stein hoisting and live music; and Sunday wraps up with wiener dog races. Times vary.
  • Oktoberfest at Southern Star Brewing Co. | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – In Conroe, the Bombshell Blonde brewery kicks off a family-friendly Oktoberfest celebration, with special brews, tasty foods, live music by the Homebrewed Brass Ensemble and The TubaMeisters, games and more. 11am to 10pm.
  • Oktoberfest at SpindleTap Brewery | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – The North Houston brewery kicks off a slate of festivities including a best Bavarian-dressed competition, German-inspired foods, $1 off Festbier, games like stein holding, contests and more. 11am to 10pm.
  • Holler for Oktoberfest at Holler Brewing | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – The Sawyer Yards brewery hosts a stein holding competition, live German music and releases of Marz Attacks to celebrate the season. Noon to 6pm.
  • B52 Oktoberfest at B52 Brewing | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – Enjoy German brews and traditional foods amongst the trees at the Conroe brewery’s annual Oktoberfest celebration, featuring live music, stein-hoisting and barrel roll competitions, a best-dressed contest and more.   • Extoberfest at Excalibur Brewing | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – The brewery in Old Town Spring hosts a family friendly celebration with German food, dancers, music by Homebrewed Brass Band, a market, and more. Noon to 10pm.
  • 3rd Annual Franktoberfest at Frankenboltzzzz Brewing Co. | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – Enjoy turkey legs, brats, and German food at the Montgomery brewing as they tap their first Märzen of the season. Noon to 10pm.
  • Oktoberfest at the Texas Leaguer Beerpark | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – Enjoy German food, live polka by Texas Legacy Czech Band, and new releases at the Stafford brewery. Noon to 10pm.
  • Oktoberfest 2024 at Little Woodrow’s Midtown | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – Midtown’s turtle racing headquarters goes full Deutsch with beer tastings and giveaways, followed by a stein-hoisting competition, DJ tunes, and more. 2pm to 5pm.
  • Missouri City Oktoberfest at Quail Valley City Centre | Saturday, September 21 | No Cover – Get the German fun rolling with a night of traditional food, beer and root beer from Texas Leaguer, live music and plenty of family friendly games and competitions at the Missouri City public golf course. 5pm to 8pm.

  • Karbachtoberfest Week 2 at Karbach Brewing Company | Friday, September 27 to Sunday, September 29 | No Cover – The Spring Branch brewery keeps the celebration rolling with Friday night oompah band music; a Saturday of stein hoisting and live music; and Sunday wiener dog races. Times vary.
  • Sausage Fest at Heights Odd Fellows Lodge | No Cover – Expect drinks, sausage, music, fun and gemütlichkeit with like-minded foodies and friends for a day of celebration. Sausage options range from $6 to $20. Noon to 4pm.
  • Oktoberfest at Watershed | Saturday, September 28 | No Cover – The German and continental restaurant and cocktail bar in Meyerland hosts a day of Oktoberfest fun, including a keg toss, German spelling bee, special Oktoberfest, live music, and more. Noon to 6pm.
  • Oktoberfest at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. | Saturday, September 28 | No Cover – Get down for the popular drinking holiday and enjoy Von Wolfhausen beer, Cowboy Scientists cooking up traditional bratwurst, music by Jodie Mikula Orchestra, games, photo ops and more in the Heights. 2pm to 7pm.

  • Oktoberfest at Heights Bier Garten | Thursday, October 3 to Sunday, October 6 | No Cover – Enjoy yodeling contests, games, live music, lederhosen and dirndl competitions, German beer, food, and more over four days. Times vary.
  • Oktoberfest Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Friday, October 4 & Saturday, October 5 | No Cover – The two week celebration of German beer and food concludes with two days of live music by Das Ist Lustig and Valina Polka, a dirndl and lederhosen costume contest, stein hoisting and pretzel eating, and more. 4pm to 9pm both days.

  • Oktoberfest & Grand Opening at Katy Beer Garden | Saturday, October 5 | No Cover – Friends, family, and furry pals are all welcome at a day of live music, brews, costumes and memories as the Bavarian-themed Katy Beer Garden celebrates its official opening. Noon to 8pm.
  • 9th Annual Beaumont Oktoberfest at Rogers Park | Saturday, October 5 | FREE – The 2024 family-friendly fest hosts a full evening of live music headlined by The Suffers, and DJ tunes, plus a wide selection of German Oktoberfest-style beer and local craft favs. Families can enjoy the Kid-toberfest play zone. 3pm to 8pm.
  • 3rd Annual Oktoberfest at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, October 5 – Flying Saucer Biergarten opens more than 50 taps for a Bavarian celebration in Sugar Land, featuring a vintage and crafts market, live music and dance, and traditional German foods with games and contests like the dachshund dash, stein races, bratwurst eating contest and more. $5 in advance, free for ages 11 and under; tasting packages are $25 and up. Prices increase at the gate. 5pm to 9pm.
  • 3rd Annual Oktoberfest at Fass Brewing | Saturday, October 5 & Sunday October 6 | No Cover – The Conroe brewery on Main Street hosts a weekend celebration with German foods, a stein hoisting competition, weenie dog races, and plenty of flowing liters of lager. Times vary.

  • 5th Annual Oktoberfest at The Cove on Hamblen | Saturday, October 12 | No Cover – Enjoy live music by Christina Renee and the Retrospective, festive beer and German food in Kingwood. Noon to 10pm.

  • The Kingwood Octoberfest at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church | Saturday, October 19 – The family-friendly fall celebration returns for the seventh year, with German-inspired food, a children’s play area, polka music, dancing, local craft beer, a costume contest, and more. $8; $3 for ages 12 and under. 11am to 5pm.
